Some of the same reasons I purchased one (actually two). It fits my requirements. I’ve driven other cars and they have no spirit or character, well at least what I’m looking for.

That’s because they give farmers government aid which means they are getting their hand outs to keep them afloat. The same people who say they hate government handouts happily take them.

The real issue is preception of fair on both ends of the argument.

They are the beta testers so Tesla can keep issues in house. So I don’t see this a consumer lunch but it made go for good headlines (perception is key to the eager masses)

That’s was my thinking also. I would modify the tuning to cause a 2% decrease in power just to mask it.
