No, but if they don’t use it, I’m sure a shit not going to let them merge or get in my lane. That and I hate the fuckers who use it for one blink (or even a half a full blink) after they’ve already made the turn or lane change. That deserves a curb stomping IMO.

I can tell you firsthand the reason people don’t use turn signals in LA is because signalling that you’re changing lanes is a signal to other drivers that they’re not filling the gap well enough.

I use turn signals every time I make anything requiring the steering wheel to turn, including off the dirt road into my upstate house driveway. The dirt road has three houses on it and I’ve never ever been in any kind of traffic on it. I just feel that turn signals are always to be used. That absolutely includes lane…

It would also be great if Americans didn’t take offense to the turn signal blinking at them. It seems that the signal just causes people to block you from changing lanes as if you were taking something from them by changing lanes.

At least you get a gentle purr instead of a loud clicking noise like a grandma clinking her dentures.

I would almost say forget about speeding. Let’s launch a campaign to enforce using your signal and STOPPING at stop signs, not slowing down a whole-whole-lot-almost-to-the-point-of-stopping-but-not-actually-stopping.

Because in Houston, if you use your turn signal, you aren’t getting in. People will speed up so you don’t get in. Not everyone, but most will. So fuck it, I’ll get in aggressively without cutting you off.

Chicago: Same. I see 50 people a day block an exit ramp as they race up and stop on it as they try to force-merge their way in. Do they care that people who want to use the exit are now blocked out? Nope. In 14 years of driving these miserable roads I’ve seen 2 people ticketed for that.

I still think that I should be allowed to mount a .50cal Gatling gun on the roof of my car to help curb the population of those dimwitted, and reckless, members of the driving population. I’ll be selective, I promise.

I can see that logic. There are many times in traffic that you use your single and it just causes other drivers to close up the gaps so you can’t get in.

A friend of mine told me that he doesn’t use his indicators when he merges. When I realized that he drives his parent’s Mercedes ML, I quickly realized even further that it doesn’t look good for his character.

Congrats on the sarcastic video, but the reason people don’t use them is because, at least in my area, there are almost no traffic cops to enforce ANYTHING. Speeding, impeding, texting, drinking, fucking... do whatever you want on Metro Detroit roads because no one is going to pull you over.
