Agreed. This is pretty much the ONLY car on the road I see here in car-jaded LA that snaps my head around almost every time.

Was gonna say- needs a sexier color than grey. The red looks good.

For example, I bought an ‘06 Waverunner last summer for salt water use. There was rust on the trailer. Since I’m a fucking grown up, I passed up several beautiful summer days on the water to invest the time to sand, paint and repair my trailer to make sure it wouldn’t disintegrate out from under me. ^TRUTH^ Start with $2,000 worth of Civic for A to B and parts runs, then start screwing around and wrenching on your $3,500 E30 or cool car. Not bad for $5,500 all in.

“Therefore, many millennial dumb-ass car shoppers get fixated on just the payment and convenience of the purchase rather than the big picture of the overall cost.”

I always insist on real crab in my California roll.

Following too close is part of our national “close the gap” obsession. While eight is better, I’m always trying to leave at least six car lengths in front of me on the freeway. Most ignorant motherfuckers see this as an “opportunity” to pass, thus closing the gap in front of me that I just created.

Exactly. In heavy traffic in a Murkin big city, a lane change turn signal basically says, “close the gap if you can.” Ain’t this a great place?

For a deliberate stealthy lane change, I can see that, but a mindless 90 degree turn at an intersection? Worst kind of idiot.

^Welcome to L.A.^

Courtesy, it’s all we ask.

I’m getting very judicious with horn use here in LA for fear of returning gunfire.

OMG THANK YOU! Here in Los Angeles, the absolute lack of turn signal use is EPIDEMIC. It has supplanted left lane camping as the shit driver’s favorite tool. I contend that turn signal use in LA died seemingly overnight in 2013.

Yes. bolt-on fender flares with exposed hardware usually look worse than any chips in the paint caused by rocks strewn by protruding wheelsets, Porsche included.

If you had some collector car that you bonded with and lovingly restored, and you were moving forever .that would be one thing. Otherwise, don’t they sell/lease cars in England that, I don’t know, are perfectly suited for that market? Dafaq, dude!?

You OK with PDK? We ain’t shifting in this exercise.

You LA guys need to do what I do: no car at all! I take LADOT Commuter Express, nice MCI coach, freeway bus, one stop, all professionals, nap, work, Jalop...enjoy the M3 on the weekend...

As a parent, I’ve made a similar sacrifice. Bravo!

I had a sky blue ‘73 Super Beetle exactly like that one. Wonder if the #3 exhaust valve ever got fixed?

I think my preference would be some sort of resto-mod sleeper with a larger, later engine and subtle suspension upgrades. Seen this with Rabbits on BAT a few times.
