“you just want to get home the car becomes a very expensive burden that still requires a very high level of engagement to operate.”

Rats. I thought DeMuro just bought another crazy-ass used car. :(

What do you mean? It looks nothing like a Mustang.

From what I’m reading here, Honda indeed may not have pulled it off.

Doesn’t somebody make a very reliable turbo kit that would allow you to build one of these from an Si or something for significantly less money?

I TOTALLY can see this listed at $40K including the dreaded “Additional Market Value” dealer sticker. That kind of scratch buys you a real sports car. A lightly used Cayman S quickly comes to mind....

Yes, the 4 doors are a painful reminder of its practical origins. Why?

Fuck, ^that^ looks better already!

To me, Type R (used to) be about performance. You can have great performance without looking stupid. 911 GT3-RS has a wing and some checkered flag graphics, but there are few if any garish “add ons.”

I thought I read somewhere, perhaps in a Saab discussion, that a manufacturer was obligated (by law?) to continue making parts available for at least 10 years after a new car is sold. If there is such a law, I would be interested to hear how it’s enforced...

Now that there are no Pontiac dealers, are there any issues getting parts? If not, I’m going to go with the similar recommendation of Challenger.

I have the same saying on my tattoo- “No Regrats”

I have kids AND I totally agree that not everyone should have them. I have friends that didn’t who shouldn’t have anyway as well as friends who didn’t but would have been great parents. Fortunately, I don’t know of too many in the 4th quadrant, those who did, but shouldn’t have ; )

Yes. I’m certain the OP was thinking of Spyker.

....but for a good one, there will be no extra $$.

^Too small.^

Incorrect. See “fat guy” requirement in original post.

It seems a little late for ^that hard-hitting insight.^

I’m 6'3" and the Camaro has “no go” head room. Can’t fit.

I’m 6'3" 220 and I’ve got good room in my E46 M3. I just do a little contorting in order to avoid brushing and wearing the tops of the side bolsters and more than necessary. Come to think of it, the OP may consider these “sports seats” and reject E46 M3.
