There’s no way you should buy a Porsche at top-of-budget. Should allow for another $7K-$10K extra for service and parts.

Yes, where ARE all these cars from the Netherlands that I keep hearing about?

Unlike most here, I was trying to consider the subject’s apparent predilection for things that are large (IKON Power Wagon) and domestic (Mustang). I immediately jumped to the suggestion of a Challenger, which seems like the obvious marriage of the two. I can’t believe it took this long for someone else to figure this

There’s nothing wrong the act of grocery getting per se, unless that’s all a Porsche is used for. You participate in an enthusiast web site and track your 911. He ain’t talking about you.

My 993 is considered by many to be the pinnacle of collectibility and that I was “crazy” to sell it. It was my dream car. I was super stoked to find it, buy it and own it. I insisted on doing my own oil changes, which were hard for me to do in less than 2 hours. At 6'3" I never fit in it well, with my fingers and nose

165 comments in, and figuratively still waiting for the first 911-related post.

I see what YOU did there. Fool me once...

Miata is even slower and about just as fun. I’ve owned both. Couldn’t drive the 993 very fast in L.A. without quickly descending into hooliganism.

Last boat was on a trailer at a launch ramp storage 10 minutes from home with a monthly fee. Current boat is smaller, but on a trailer in my garage = happiest of all.

“couldn’t care less,” or did I just take the bait hard?

“I made around $7,000 on the deal....WAH!” If this disappoints you, I’d hate to see how you handle losing money on just about every car you’ve ever owned....

“The hoods aren’t opened unless the car is expected to idle with the emergency lights running for an extended period of time.”

I’m surprised that more PD dash and body cams aren’t (“oopsie”) disabled. And of course there would be no “policies” allowing that....

Costs more and looks worse. Not quite a Model 3 killer yet.

If you have to un-mount it, you might as well re-mount a new tire. I’m cheap, not crazy.

What “fix” do you recommend? Internal patch?

I think Fix-A-Flat is not rated for tires larger than 15" diameter.

The life of tires rolling the average 15K per year “is” short term.

I keep my plugs in a ziplock bag. A bit a wishful thinking to extend shelf life.

I have the Blackjack brand kit which specifies “no rubber cement.” When all else fails, read the destructions. (Hard for my fellow dudes, I know)
