There is nothing that could convince me that wasn’t intentional. A panicking amateur would have stood on the brakes, not turned, and plowed head-on into the wall. Instead, he hits the perfect line and cranks the wheel at the perfect times so that the rear tire barely kisses the dirt. I’d bet that the only reason the

The rally he talks about in the beginning, where he had to change out a differential in Ulaanbataar, is the Peking to Paris Rally. It’s run every 3 years. In fact it’s running right now. http://www2.endurorally.com/pp2016/results…

So many to choose from. My dad did autobody repair from the time he was 16, so cars have always been a big part of our time together.

Minnesota drivers paying no attention to the road?

Alright then, turns out they’re assholes. Smart, because there will probably be a significant percentage of 60kWh buyers who eventually upgrade to the 75 or 90. But still assholes.

What I’d like to know is what the upgrade costs. If the cost is more than the difference between the 60 and 75kwh then they’re smart but jerks for doing it that way. If the cost is simply the difference between the two models or less, that would be best. They make it easier for people to get past the biggest hurdle,

This right here. A 200k mile 20 year old Saturn? I wouldn’t touch it with anything other than a sledgehammer.

I had one of these. Same year, different trim. That car was a beast in the snow. I took it down an unplowed highway at 50mph through 6in of snow without the car feeling squirrelly at all. Unfortunately, northern winters took their toll and I couldn’t afford the $700 brake job.

I am American and I did watch the whole thing. Afterwards, I actually said, “Why the hell did I just watch that?” Then I remembered that I’m the most boring person I know. And I like it that way.

It wasn’t until watching this that I truly began to understand just how big the cultural divide is between Britain and America.

People always say that crappy build quality is part of the “charm” of owning an Italian car. I say stop giving them a free pass. It’s the 21st century. They have the ability to build things right.

Quick lube places are, in fact, not the devil. If you’re not sure about a place, drive by a couple times. Observe how the techs move. Are they working like confident professionals? Overconfident speed demons? Nervous teenagers? Use your judgement. Not everyone has the time or space to do oil changes themselves.

$1800 for a car that with basic maintenance will easily last for another 200,000 miles? Sounds good to me.

I can’t imagine being offended by this. For the owners’ sake, I just hope the mods are reversible. Just on the off chance that they want to sell them.

A full restoration would be, while nice looking, unremarkable. I’d cram in the biggest motor I could, restore the interior, and mod it into a retractable hardtop.

I actually tried that job once, selling speakers out of a van. That’s where I learned that I am not a salesman. I lasted 1 week and sold nothing. It didn’t help that I felt bad watching people get ripped off by spending absurd amounts of money on cheap, crappy Chinese speakers. One of the few times that I’m actually

Because sometimes your car unexpectedly takes a shit when you weren’t planning on replacing it and therefore have nothing saved.

I lack the testicular fortitude to drive that car on those streets.

I’ll take one of each, please.
