You’ll have to forgive her (and me); it’s been a hectic 24 hours. The speed at which the meeting was announced made you forget about the Stormy thing, the collusion thing, the fact that this has got to be a trap of some sort (North Korea is being incredibly subservient and praising just was we get our most vain

It’s insane that a gaming montage lacking any context was uploaded by the White House account. Those clips have watermarks from numerous sources (none that I recognize) and there are no details under the video where they got it from, who made it, etc.

Probably the most entertaining thing to come out of the Survive ecosystem.

One thing I haven’t seen mentioned anywhere is that this is coming literally out of nowhere. IIRC, the Columbine shooters had prominent experience/contact with games (Doom?). Can’t think of other specific examples, but usually games are brought up because of some sort of relevant context. There is no indication, that

Sam Bee’s show had a good analysis of the situation: Christianity is about forgiving, and he gives them plenty of opportunity to do so.

She’s definitely milking it (no pun intended), but their incompetence has created the situation before them.

One of the linked recommended stories is, “Learn to take a compliment,” which is an important flipside of this coin. Whenever someone compliments (or acknowledges) you for something in particular, rather than self-deprecating or deferring to luck, hear what they’re saying.

It’s an old and tired joke at this point, but isn’t the point of having white pride is to be proud of it?

The thing is, it’s not really an eye for an eye. It’s not like he should be punished equally for the sake of balance; he should be punished for breaking the law and tainting the profession.

It requires serious cognitive dissonance to ignore the fact that you’re just as bad as the criminals you’re putting away.

Went to scope out the front page; their articles get ~15,000 comments. Frightening.

Oh, so he’s the guy who loved the first Army of Two.

I think there’s very little going on inside that is deliberate or even conscious. His strategy for every meeting is to improv his way through it, get back to his TV and bucket of chicken.

Personally, selfishly, I’m down to take guns first and do due process later, but that’s not what the fucking POTUS should say about the law. He’s going to ‘yes, and’ the country into anarchy.

I’ve used the word “precedent” in comments before, and based on everything I’ve seen and experienced, precedent only applies in courtrooms; anything goes in the real world.

This is tangential to the issue, but I’m so fucking sick of overtalk. Cancel all news networks, replace the 24 hour cycle with 1 hour debates.

Watching MGSurvive footage, I think it’s clear that its only saving grace is its gameplay, by which I mean the excellently crafted, mechanically sound good-mouth-feel of the underlying game/engine. The only reason I would want to play it is to use those controls again, experience the world the FOX Engine can render.

The whole Russia situation reminds me of that episode in all rom-coms where person A starts hanging out with person B, and person C is jealous, so they try to break up A & B. A & B get wise and are on the defensive. Then person C finds out something horrible about person B, and has to convince person A that they’re

Hence my shitty attempt to downplay it. Analogies are never perfect, it was a recent example of deflection.

That’s a bad argument whenever it’s brought up. Yes, you might be subjectively correct, but if enough people care, then by default it’s important enough to merit discussion and the lawsuit. No matter how small an issue is, if you’re at the center of it, it’s pretty damn important to you.
