I too think Bendela’s intentions were pure and sacred, but if this was a ruse to get martyrdom I stan for that as well. I do think Bendela was emotionally tired, and that was her real reason for self elimination. Eliminating queens really taxed her, and being in that position again and again endangered her reputation…

I’m still not on the Kennedy train (just as I was never on the Roxxxy train) and I will err on the side of niceness and assume that Bendela really just wanted to prove something to herself rather than win the crown.

I think you back-handedly get to one of the key points about what makes Shangela disagreeable to watch.

Her drag isn’t even that good. It’s not good enough for her attitude, that’s for sure.

Her “if it was the old me” bullshit had me rolling my eyes so hard. I hate when people pull that. If you want to threaten someone then fucking do it, don’t hide behind your fakeass new persona. She reminds me of someone I know IRL who thinks he’s a conniving game-player but is actually dumber than a box of wigs.

I agree it was one of the best challenges in a long while. It’s best when the queens get to be unscripted and showcase their own creativity rather than stick to a weak script that doesn’t suit every queen.
