Agree, I almost did a spit-take on that one

I was really in to Ten when it came out, but I rarely revisit it now. I still enjoy the songs on Ten well enough, but I prefer their other albums.
Entrecôte with corn on the cob and tomato-melon salad. All the fruit and veggies were home grown and quite tasty.
I made Krustenbraten (pork roast with crackling) in beer sauce with mashed potatoes and sauteed veggies from my garden. I threw a shot of vermouth in with the veggies at the very end and they were amazing!
I took my kids to Minions. The kids loved it and I thought it was not as bad as all the reviews say it is. Not great, but not absolutely terrible. I'd give it a C. And in my defense, Inside Out doesn't come out here until October 1.
Yeah, I don't think he's all that hideous. There's got to be people running around back then who've had industrial accidents and been mauled by machinery, what with there being no real safety standards then.
Same here, and the Creature killed them way too fast. I would have liked to see them suffer more.
DC's Chinatown was always pretty small and is almost completely commercialized now.
I grew up outside of DC. I'm not sure about video rentals or theaters, we never went, but there were people passing around VHS tapes. Once Upon a Time in China was the only (dubbed) tape we owned. That came out in 91, I know we had it before 1995.
My best friend's dad bought one. So, there's at least one straight guy.
Must have depended on the school/time period. It was not an unusual 16th birthday gift for girls in my area. I never knew of anyone who had something stolen from them. There wasn't a lot of misbehavior on my bus or at school. I remember the bus driver would pull over if we got loud and kids would get kicked off and…
You're right, what I said sounds totally douchey on rereading. I merely meant to say that having a discman didn't necessary mean someone was rich. Middle class girls sometimes got them as their big teenage-years present, while middle class boys got gaming systems. I'm pretty sure that the rich kids got cars.
That seems to have come across differently than I intended. My point was only that it wasn't just rich, spoiled kids who had them. I didn't have a game system, I got a discman instead. So did a lot of my female friends. I'm sure it was more common for girls to have them since either they were or their parents thought…
Seriously? I got a discman for my 16th birthday in 1991 and we were middle class. It was my only present from my family and I asked all my friends to each buy me a CD for my birthday.
We had chilies in vinegar, my mom kept a jar in her purse for adding to food at restaurants. I didn't discover sriracha until I was an adult.
Ah, okay. Is that really much of a spoiler though? I figure since she was killed off in the show, she probably doesn't play a role in the future books since GRRM is working on the show and has told the producers how it ends.
The first time I watched, I loved Ned, but on rewatch, knowing what was going to happen… yep, too stupid to live.
The way I remember it, she was pregnant, but wasn't at the Red Wedding. It's been years since I read the books though.
Yeah, I've read all the books, so I knew what was coming, but it was still utterly horrifying.
I've rewatched it because Pedro Pascal was so incredible, but I turn it off as soon as the Mountain grabs him.
