Weren’t casts made of plaster at least until very recently?
I mean, I think the net effect of that is that really good players who are worth the extra money and hassle will be employed, while the more replaceable/fungible ones who aren’t worth the trouble won’t be, which is, more or less, the status quo. Having the NFL support anti-violence programs and require anger…
Yeah, I’m not saying the answer is easy, but if we can disparage potential solutions as either craven or poorly thought out, we should at least have some alternative in mind. I’m still of the opinion that doing *something* to send a message about domestic abuse not being acceptable or tolerated is better than doing…
You win the pool to manage to include the word “floamy” in an article.
The “That’s important...very important...(long pause)...to be tasteful” gets me every damn time.

Feels like you missed an opportunity to say “Basic Witches” here...

And her emails.
Sorry, can’t use “upon reflection” in this joke. Try again.
You misspelled “comment”
Fair point. Still though, unless this guy is publicly espousing fascist points of view (and if he is that’s a far bigger deal than whether or not he made this gesture), the worst case scenario is that he did something in very poor taste. Not great, but at this point I think the amount of public ridicule he’s gotten…
I mean, most “professional gamblers” are usually broke. Maybe not him, I dunno, but the people who get rich in vegas are, by and large, not the gamblers...
