Well, kind of. With Superman, you just need to accept one giant conceit (he’s an alien with a broad array of superhuman abilities). With Batman, you need to accept that a “baseline human” could do and survive all of the stuff he does and survives, which means suspending disbelief over and over again.

See but that’s a question of whether you judge the movies for what they are or for what Batman “should” be. I haven’t read much of anything, comics-wise, and my background coming in was a handful of episodes of the (terrific) Batman: The Animated Series, and the Bale batman didn’t seem out of line with that.
