Yes. I agree.
Yes. I agree.
Let’s all be honest for one minute... These were all B-list characters to begin with (and I say this as a HUGE Daredevil fan). If you think about the “mainstream”, no one had heard of Jessica Jones or Luke Cage... some may remember Iron Fist because of his silly costume.
Yeap... by now it makes more sense that we’re living in a simulation and that’s why we haven’t met any aliens.
Now I get the Luigi reference!!!
I think that you’re focusing too much on the “need” for the name to be a combination of Bowser and Peach and less on the fact that Bowsette is a cool and cute name. That’s why it stuck. People like the name more than they care it not being a hybrid of two other names.
I wonder what this means for eSports as a whole. I mean, this is something very specific to eSports... a developer simply saying that they will not support the game anymore! It’s not like anyone can do the same with basketball, for example. Even if the NBA closes down, players can play abroad or a new league can be…
I like that the art designers took the time to make sure that every different image is showing the exact amount of gold bars that you’re buying (i.e. one box has 20 bars and one gold pyramid has 15 gold bards... and the first image only has a small pyramid with 5 bars).
Yeah, you and noodles make excellent points I didn’t consider. Some of those names I recognize myself. I’m in my thirties, so I was around during the 80's but too young to have cared about the details of who were the creators back then.
Didn’t knew that fact about EA. Interesting!
Thanks. Great article! Makes you feel the kind of awkward position these gentlemen must have been in. I think that most people that started in the video game industry before / during the 80s feel the same way.
Also people forget that the Vita was a pioneer on the OLED screens (which they later changed to LCD). People talk about smartphones having OLED screens as if it’s the newest thing and I think... “the Vita had that years ago!”
Glad to know I’m not the only one who likes this movie. I think the Director’s Cut version is even better, since it adds a bit more depth to some of the characters arcs.
Consumer Trust died the day they released that half-baked, incomplete piece of stale dough they dared to call a “Final Fantasy”.
The DLCs were just a matter a pride, in my opinion. They realized that after the worst development hell that we have known in a while, the game was a shitty game. It sold like crazy simply because people had been waiting on it for a long time, so they decided to fix it to save face on the negative feedback.
I agree. But also, asking for clarification on why it was initially included is needless. I mean, there may be multiple reasons, but I would be okay with just assuming that in this occasion the offensiveness required the development team to be contextually aware to the cultural implications of the inclusion. What I…
To clarify... in the US “black” doesn’t mean a skin color, but the cultural associations of being black. “Black” is not Hispanic black, or Indian black or Arabic black. Black means “African American black”... and, I guess that in some ocassions “African American from the South” black. That leads to all these cries of…
Exactly!!! The person who signed the NDA was the employee, associate or contractor that leaked the documents. The press didn’t sign any NDA document with Take Two so they should be free to publish whatever they receive.
They’ll defend themselves saying that the statement on the box wasn’t final and that the official agreements were on the URL. Then, if you check the URL, you’ll notice that (the same as most others from other companies) it has this statement:
1. I don’t think that Valve is a tooth fairy, but you know that they’re getting their HUGE share of profits from the store, right? I mean, supporting a developer that had an issue with a release wouldn’t have been out of place here. The issue is that they want to make profit from games being sold on their platform,…
Not having microtransaction isn’t a good thing for the developers if they’re putting their game out for free. For gamers, no one is going to complain about free stuff. I just feel sad for the developers on this one.
