I am afraid, I’ll pop a blood vessel if I keep following all the developments surrounding King Louie. It seems like everyday there is something to be afraid of or be angry at.
So we should start e-mailing them right?
Start your web browser, go into the settings menu, and find the option to ‘clear cookies’.
Yeah, the problem is just that people “don’t like” Trump. Yup.
Yeah, you’re right, now that we’ve made our personal distaste for our new authoritarian white-nationalist government clear, we should stop covering it while it willfully dismantles the nation.
So many people say women aren’t funny. But (mostly) men post this derivative drivel under the guise of “just joking - lighten up” and no one remarks about men have no sense of humor at all. Because this stuff isn’t even clever.
Keep in mind that these people get elected, and will probably get reelected, not despite but because of these beliefs.
In a very small bit of good news, the NE state representative is being given a kind of ultimatum. If he doesn’t resign by tonight the legislation will take up a resolution to expel him tomorrow morning. He won’t resign; he dug his heels in pretty hard after that skype thing.
You know what drives me absolutely insane about right wing politicians. They don’t understand that when you are elected you represent all people in their district- not just people that voted for you.
Tomi Lahren, meet your future.
“Women have very little idea of how much men hate them”
I am glad it is going. I always thought it was unfair that garbage like xoJane (see: this article) survived while the beauty that was The Toast (see: one commenter donated a kidney to another) did not.
This shit is so dangerous. It erodes our faith in our democratic institutions. We may survive a trump presidency but the US won’t be able to survive a complete loss of faith in things like our elections and our press for example. It will breed widespread corruption and authoritarianism as people will think trump is…
They’re saying what Trump is demanding they say. No one is going to excel at this job.
NPR was so smart to move away from commenting. I mean, when you look at the big picture, what good does it do to pretend you’re open to The Voices of the People when the People have proven time-and-again that they’re a pack of bigoted swine who don’t have a coherent thought to share?
That’s very rarely the case here. But also, not the main problem with WaPo’s comments (although I really wish it were). It’s that the barrier to entry for commenting is jarringly low, and the neonazi movement has made internet commenting and harassment its weapon of choice. NPR eliminated commenting altogether, while…
Oh God. I’m not going to post more from there, but rest assured that it goes on like this. I wasn’t so much scrolling down the page as descending it.
I blame the parenting. Who raises a psychopath and doesn’t tell them to not keep a journal?
“It was absolutely fantastic. Murder gives me a high unlike any other, it feels like this crisp unreality. Flashing & sparkling. Adrenaline & shock. Fight or flight mode. How do I even go about describing it. The whole thing was unreal.”
