So many people say women aren’t funny. But (mostly) men post this derivative drivel under the guise of “just joking - lighten up” and no one remarks about men have no sense of humor at all. Because this stuff isn’t even clever.

Keep in mind that these people get elected, and will probably get reelected, not despite but because of these beliefs.

In a very small bit of good news, the NE state representative is being given a kind of ultimatum. If he doesn’t resign by tonight the legislation will take up a resolution to expel him tomorrow morning. He won’t resign; he dug his heels in pretty hard after that skype thing.

You know what drives me absolutely insane about right wing politicians. They don’t understand that when you are elected you represent all people in their district- not just people that voted for you.

NPR was so smart to move away from commenting. I mean, when you look at the big picture, what good does it do to pretend you’re open to The Voices of the People when the People have proven time-and-again that they’re a pack of bigoted swine who don’t have a coherent thought to share?

Melania Trump certainly seems wicked bad, to the point that I wonder if part her public performances are Donald exerting some sort of control over her. That said, I think that the “sympathy” she’s getting is mostly about mocking Donald’s obvious disdain for everyone who is not himself.

LMM will never be insufferable as long as he is using his powers for good, like increasing minority visibility in theater and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for Planned Parenthood, for example.
