Damn, Cory beat me to it. I was JUST about to write that!

I’ve always thought SNES/PSX graphics were always the prettiest era of games. I miss classic sprites

Call an old friend once a week, listen to a new album once a month, Dryuary (FML), and exercise four times a week. I think having hard numbers makes them easier to follow

THIS is what I’d been looking for, though isn’t that partially solved by his first point? The rigs are so expensive to run because you’re looking to outgun your competition; if there’s less competition, the cost to operate goes down.

Did you read the entire archive? Then how the fuck would you know?

Mario Odyssey is a goddamned masterpiece. I really can’t say enough good things about it

Damn, are you me? Literally came here to post EXACTLY this. SA 2 is a GREAT game, though I can absolutely do without the Knuckles/Rouge levels

I’m with you. I don’t play a lot of brand-new games, but 2017 was a special year for me, and Mario Odyssey rocketed to the top of my list QUICKLY. What an amazing game

That kid was the best part of March Madness 2016. I still laugh like a bastard every time I see any clip of his award winning performance

THIS GUY TIPPI GORDON, I CALL HIM MARIO 64 BECAUSE HE’S GOT LOTS OF STARS

Yeah, I agree. I’ve NEVER been so pessimistic about a New Year in my entire life. 2017 sucked; I don’t dare to hope 2018 will be better

You’re out of your fucking mind. 2017 was demonstrably worse than just about any year since I’ve been alive

Pretty much every moment of Mario Odyssey, and the final story scene of Wolfenstein 2. She’s possibly the biggest villain ever for me; I could not WAIT to sink an ax into her fucking head

I saw nearly all of these in the theater. I don’t know what that says about me

The problem for me is that those little boulders seem to absorb an abnormal amount of bullets, and often the Conda wraps around them so you can’t get an angle on them.

Mario

Love this car, Torch. You nailed a lot of the design elements that I found appealing but was struggling to articulate.

Oh, it’s COMING. The Switch version of Gungeon already has the update (which tbh is probably enough to get my girlfriend to buy it)

Yeah, same. My order for first floor bosses in preference goes Twins>King>Gull. It’s crazy though: the Ammoconda and Mine Flayer are tied for worst bosses in the main game (the Old King can get utterly fucked); they both CONSISTENTLY kick my ass

It takes patience, and recognizing the patterns of the bosses. For instance, the Gatling Gull is actually pretty easy to beat if you keep your distance, zigzag when he’s shooting, and unload when he’s shooting rockets. Also, treat the game as more of a bullet hell than a straight shooter, i.e. concentrate on your
