Gal Gadot as WW was the only unequivocally great part of BvS. I remember walking out thinking “Well that killed my interest in seeing a Justice League movie, but now I cannot wait for Wonder Woman.”

Her physicality is the most nonsense argument against her. Henry Cavill does not look like he can catch a falling satellite out of the sky (much like no human being can) yet he gets a pass as Superman.
I’m usually with you on being against tiny, modelesque women supposedly being super strong, but this actress truly surprised me and brought me around. Also, Wonder Woman is not a human woman, so she doesn’t have to be, like, bigger and more muscular than most men, you know?
Well no one is a fictional character. She just plays one in a movie. Relax.
Have people truly not learned that labeling something as bad and forbidden will completely ensure that teenagers do the exact opposite?
Purely anecdotal, but I heard zero kids discussing this show before the school board sent out panicky letters to parents. Now they’ve all seen it.
Who dressed him? Mad Max’s grampa?
Or, maybe, we should treat most drugs how we treat alcohol. So long as a person isn’t harming others, they’re free to put as much of it into their body as they wish, with all the consequences thereof? I’m no fan of pot, for example, but I also think it’s absolutely fucking stupid that it’s illegal and alcohol isn’t.…
let’s focus on education and getting men to man up and help raise their children.
“responsible drug use” doesn’t exist.
I would say not sending people to prison for recreational drug use helps them more than one iota. There is a lot wrong with the illicit drug industry, but sending people who aren’t “criminal scumbags” to prison doesn’t magically solve the problem. People who misuse and abuse drugs need TREATMENT, not prison.
You mistake understanding for excusing. I understand their choice all too well. They were fed a fantasy where being a mediocre white man meant having a middle-class life with minimal effort regardless of education because the all boys club was in effect. To them, those were the days when America was great. Now,…
As my grandma used to say, “I’m sorry you didn’t make a better choice.”
She signed the Faustian bargain with her eyes open. She chose this.
You can’t outline anything about children in pre-nups. It is considered unconscionable and entirely unenforceable in court. Most things people like to hear about as gossip in pre-nups is just that, gossip. Prenups can really only deal with the partitioning of assets. Not whether or not you get your kids or whether or…
Even in the case of the hypothetical prenup, she didn’t have to sign that. I have little sympathy for a parent that signed away the rights to their future children so they could marry rich.
Exactly. She’s an asshole who choose to trade on her looks to get ahead. Now it’s biting her in the ass. Tough shit. His behavior towards women was well known when she showed up. It’s not like he was unknown quantity. The conditions of her marriage may have changed but she willing entered into this marriage. As for a…
but she knows how to play the game
Or maybe she really believes the right-wing crazy talk (she’s from Slovenia and most of what she knows of US politics is filtered through her husband!), and she’s ALSO being treated badly. He doesn’t have to literally be holding her prisoner in order for her to do the talk show circuits and spout conspiracy theory.
If Mel Gibson (yes, him) could use 100% robotics and computer imagery for the battle horses in Braveheart, they can certainly work around this.
