She’s awesome! And while you can pry my Vitamix out of my cold, dead hands, I might have to get a NutriBullet just for their social media response.

Am I the only one following Chrissy Tiegen playing blender companies off each other? It's more amusing than it sounds, I promise!
Idk, but I was surprised to see you in the greys :(
Hahaha, mine was definitely a party school back in the day (see my comment to Randilyn re: my freshman year), and while there are definitely still good times to be had, it has become a lot more academically oriented over the last decade.
Oh, absolutely - there are definitely some that don’t fit that same mold. UVA and UNC Chapel Hill to name a couple were tough to get into even when I was a freshman, and some are still a lot easier. There’s definitely a push for a good number of state flagships to compete with the “state ivies” - Florida, Arizona,…
Omg, are we twins? I did the same. Exact. Thing. Flailed about spectacularly freshman year, lost my scholarship, and went to CC for a couple of semesters to get my shit together. I'm just thankful they let me back in, quite honestly.
This is so true - I went to my state’s flagship school back in the day, and it was pretty much a given that if you had at least a so-so GPA and decent test scores, you would get in. It’s been more than a decade, and I’m honestly not sure I would get in if I graduated HS today. I think a lot of parents aren’t used to…
Right? I mean, my parents are actually pretty racist, sadly, and even they would have told me to suck it up and go somewhere else, or spend a year at another state system school and transfer in. I just can’t imagine not getting in when I *don’t meet automatic admissions criteria* and then assuming it’s because I’m…
Right?! I'm just bummed they're not coming near where I live.
True. I guess I just feel like a 50% drop would be noticeable regardless of whether I've seen the actual paycheck, but clearly people can (and do) hide this kind of thing pretty well. I just feel bad for the family and the shitty situation he's put them in.
I guess that’s true, especially in academics, and it’s not necessarily an industry where you can just go get another job instead. What a train wreck, I’m sorry your friend’s coworker is going through something similar, apparently it’s easier to hide than I thought! Brb, off to check the hub’s paystubs …
This is what’s making me bonkers (well one of the things) - did she not notice that half of his paycheck was being garnished? I mean, my husband and I keep partially separate finances, but I would for sure notice if his pay was cut by half, as he would mine. How do you hide that? Unless one of them is super rich, it…
My thoughts exactly when I read that he hasn't taken any measures to prevent being sued for child support - that is some stupid sperm! And that was before it came out that he's married and publicly putting this story out there while his wife is an unwilling participant. So creepy.
I'm seriously jealous of your day!
At work, so coffee, water and more coffee. Because the night is long and my mortgage won't pay itself.
That's awesome, the HESI for nursing is really hard! Good luck in nursing school, it's tough but amazing.
That's sickening! How awful for those poor families.
Oh, you’re not wrong, it is an antihistamine, just usually used for nausea rather than allergies - there’s better meds for allergies with fewer side effects. For nausea it works well and it’s cheaper than Zofran, so it’s pretty popular. Unfortunately it’s given a lot to prevent opiate induced nausea, but it can…
Not everyone experiences severe side effects from it, but it has the potential to get you really messed up, especially when mixed with opiates (common to prevent opiate related nausea). I've had patients full on hallucinate when mixing the two, even in small doses. I don't see the appeal, personally, tbh.
It’s not typically used as an antihistamine (although technically it is one), but as an anti-nausea medication (Phenergan). It will Fuck. You. Up.
