Thanks. Kind of a letdown :)

I can’t have blow and hoes on my Yacht after retirement? I’m sorry I thought this was America
A modern gasoline ICE is ~20-25% thermally efficient (that is, they extract 20-25% of the possible “work” from the gasoline and the rest is discarded as waste heat). Turbodiesels can get up near 40%. A decades-old, dirty-ass coal plant can get to around 60%, some of the very modern LNG plants can get to 80%. The…
I would be genuinely surprised if the DCU doesn’t get partially or completely shitcanned, like all the other ambitious shared cinematic universes from the past decade that failed to make it beyond one or two movies, such as the Dark Universe, the Hasbroverse, or the Valiantverse. (It’s so weird that there was actually…
I look forward to Huyang serving more epic burns about Sabine’s lack of force powers. Just like, every time Ahsoka tries to make Sabine balance rocks while balancing upside, Huyang is just there like, “you know who could do that? Literally every other padawan over the last 500 years. Nerd."
Counter-counterpoint: Thor Love & Thunder is a bottom-five MCU movie and has the absolute worst use of humor in the entire franchise.
Absolutely. Gorr, and that whole storyline in the comics, is my favorite storyline in the comics ever, and Gorr is a top-tier villain. They effed it up...and with Bale nonetheless.
Exactly. And the sad thing is Waititi is a fantastic director. He could easily have made another great Thor film if he wanted with Love and Thunder. He just... didn’t.
Wow.
The difference is nobody claimed West Side Story was Shakespeare’s. Also, Apple’s Foundation is so far from the source material that it is as if you made Romeo and Juliet as sworn enemies hellbound on starting a blood feud between their two families that had been allied for generations. 🤦
I, Robot, the Will Smith film, was a completely unrelated film that ended up getting Asimov grafted onto it, and it was still a more faithful Asimov story than Apple TV’s Foundation.
Please don’t call this Foundation. It is so far from Asimov’s version.
Explaining waiting in line to see a movie to a person under 20 would blow their mind. People literally waited in line for a over a week to see The Phantom Menace opening night. There’s a lot to dislike about going to movies now, but being able to buy your tickets ahead of time and pick your seat is not one of them.
Everyone still calls it Twitter, but if you must use Muskrat’s new name, be sure to pronounce it “eggs”.
It wasn’t both. Zuck was totally ready. He does BJJ and has been in and won tournaments. He was totally ready. He just finally got tired of Musk’s excuses.
Complains about using “buzzwords” right, completely fails to even open a dictionary to see that groom means something besides conditioning a child for sex.
I hate Mayim, and I clicked reply to say that I don’t necessarily think that the picture implies that she’s crossing the line but upon reflection I agree that it’s a poor inclusion given that she specifically has refused to cross the line when last I checked Jennings HAD agreed to cross the picket line (not sure if…
Fair point. Also Bialik is a terrible person, so it is good to hate her.
I know the writers here hate Mayim Bialik, but putting her picture here implies that she is willing to cross the WGA line for Jeopardy - when in fact the opposite happened. She already left the show to support the WGA and Ken Jennings crossed the WGA line to film the latest episodes.
You should change the picture.
