You gotta respect that she’s just throwing gas on this burning trash-heap at this point. I know it’s all about short term money, but the smart move would be for WB to just walk away from the superhero thing for a decade and focus on a bunch of master and commander, weird west, sci-fiction, fantasy, etc... trilogies.

No, you’re not wrong. It is not a good movie. There are objectively bad sequences throughout the film. Stuff that would embarrass a TV writer.

They aren’t bad so much as just completely generic. They are the exact same scripts that would be written for 12 year old’s in the 80s with the exception of a little more graphic violence and sex to try and “age them up.”

His ego is so big at this point he can’t even play a bad guy.  He has to be an “anti-hero” at worse.

Disney should really release a limited series Rebels recap that gets us all up to speed.

Just did the math: It’s 27.5 hours to watch Rebels.  Is there some kind of “essential guide”?  I’m sure more than half of it is filler.

Star Trek producers:

I agree. Do whatever you want. There are just people that haven’t played the game that probably don’t understand that this is like saying, “I’m doing permadeath and there are a dozen times throughout the game that I’m going to roll a six sided die and if it comes up 1, I die.

He can do whatever he wants. But there are parts of that game where no matter how good of a player you are you are going to fall and it is absolutely no fault of your own (there are some random events that sometimes happen post jump but before you land so you have no control over them). That’s exactly why the game

We would be complaining about this being too long if it was a 5 minute SNL skit.  I cannot imagine the pain of sitting through 87 minutes of this.

The FF are also an opportunity to have a “cosmic” branch of the MCU now that Guardians is done.

I think the musical episode is fine, but they should have waited to do it in season 3. This is the third “stunty” episode out of 10. You can’t make a cake all out of frosting.

If Adam Driver was up for the part of Doctor Doom, that could be an absolutely massive commitment. I could understand him being reluctant.

1893 Chicago Worlds fair? Throwaway reference to the invention of the ice-cream cone! I am so in!

Kinja commenting system is worth negative money.

What didn’t you like about the “Balance of Terror” episode?  I thought it was great, and came up with a very good way of cleaning up Discover’s shit with regard to Pike.

I’m not sure if there is any fallout from the timey-wimey Kirk and La’an stuff. This Kirk has zero knowledge of it, all if did was convince La’an that Kirk is a good guy and that they would probably get along. Would if be nice for her to have a scene of her telling Kirk that she met an alternate version of him, sure,

I think they should have saved this for season 3. This makes 3 fan-servicey episodes out of 10 this season. I’m sure it will be great, but you can’t make a cake out of too much icing. And the team absolutely knows that this show has another season (if not 5). It would have taken absolutely no work to bump this to

It is simply crazy to me that Amazon, with it’s huge bankroll, knew that this show was one of their very few bona fide hits and yet they have let it take 2 years to create a second season and it STILL is split into two 4 part episodes. And yet they spend a hundreds of millions on a Wheel of Time show that no one

I thought it was a good episode. The central mystery was nothing exceptional, but I actually view that as a plus. It gave them more time to do A LOT of broad character development. I really felt like I got a good juicy bit on a half-dozen characters. This is exactly what an ensemble show should be, and I think Star

I don’t think it actually is, but the framing, color tones, and scale make it look exactly like a head added to a body.
