It’s very tough. I hate when my opinions on games, movies or TV, align with bigots and idiots for completely different reasons.
I was happy to pay $14 to find out that Tobey Maguire Spider-man was still alive and making it work with Mary Jane (and a hint that they had children). That’s all I needed.
I really feel like something gummed up the works between the end of Loki and now. Things would have made a lot more sense if Ant man III had come out about six months after Loki and all this filler had just never happened.
It’s hard to forgive baby Princess Leia. Really really hard.
I love Andor, but it is still completely based on the Rebel/Empire conflict. The entire Star Wars IP was never built to last. It is no Star Trek or MCU - they have much better scaffolding and even they are struggling.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: From a pure structural storytelling perspective, Star Wars is not a very good IP. The whole thing is based on one family and one conflict in a otherwise pretty non-descript sci-fantasy universe. You can only hang so many ornaments off that one tree.
Good for her for dating an ugmo. I’m sure he has a great personality!
Just a reminder that Loki was excellent and well worth watching a second time just to see the Kang connection. I just watched it again and absolutely loved it.
I get it. And I enjoy it, but I can also understand people that legitimately do not like it.
Spoiler warning.
I’m of the opinion that if the bottom corner of the video says “This is a deep fake” there is nothing you can or should be able to do about it. Otherwise it does go all the way up to your Trump / McConnel example, and I am not sure if I want to let people sue on such an open field.
The show is an absolute rights nightmare. Peacock has rights for some episodes, Paramount for others, MTV has a banner before the episodes, when you set your DVR to record it, you’re recording it off Comedy Central!
It’s almost like everyone thought it would be a huge failure and then it turned into an unbelievable…
I’ll just say this once: There are plenty of better places to work today desperate to hire you. The GameStop employees could probably take the whole chain down if they all quit and went and worked at the Target next door. For more pay. With better hours. With more supportive management. With less chance of being…
Wow. I cannot tell you how sad and bad it is for the industry that 343 isn’t making it’s own engine anymore. Real end of an era.
It’s cute you think any of these people are actually friends with each other.
I disagree. I see a million people that are brutal to the business practices of the pharmaceutical companies and very pro-vax. He could, IF HE WANTED, fix this with a one short tweet (I wrote it above): “I am very pro-vaccine - I believe Pfizer makes monstrous profits that hurt people” It’s not very nuanced.
Being anti-vax is unforgivable in my view. It is effectively anti-modernity and shows you really do not want to be part of our culture. It also guarantees a huge level of hypocrisy, since invariably you completely depend the advantages that modern life gives you (like being able to post your idiotic ideas on the World…
He has had plenty of time to respond. “I am very pro-vaccine - I believe Pfizer makes monstrous profits that hurts people” There, done.
Still, it’s gotta sting. Which makes me laugh.
