The avatars are terrible, but if you go into a vr meeting with good spatial audio it is literally 100 times better than a zoom meeting. It is shocking how many monkey brain parts of you head light up when some kind of spatial representation of a person and the audio sync up.
Framing the story around Janeway chasing the Protostar and discovering the kids helping one planet after another is an excellent idea for a story arc. Combined with Janeway vs holo-Janeway, it seems like Prodigy might have won the writers lottery this year.
Moriarty is an excellent idea for a villain.
