You can make an NFT pay a percentage of the resale to the original creator. So I can make an NFT such that I get 10% of resales forever: e.g. I make an NFT, you buy it for $20, then sell it to Bob for $40, Then Bob sells it to Mary for $30, and Mary sells it to John for $10, I get $20 + $4 + $3 + $1.

What if you sell an NFT as a resellable ticket to play a game with a custom avatar/spaceship/tank? I think NFT could be an interesting way to purchase games because it has a mechanism for players to resell those games and the game creator gets a portion of the resale.  So imagine Gamestop if Gamestop split the game

A press tour for a movie that has been out for a month that I never even heard of before this article.  I think it’s safe to say that’s a lost cause.  Because it is Munn, I wouldn’t be surprised if she was keeping the press tour going solely for her own chance to get press.

They’ve f’ed up every other part of the story. Why stop now?

Don’t forget that it is also established (in Foundation and Earth and Forward the Foundation) that Daneel’s life is coming to an end, the amount of time he can stay in a positronic brain is getting shorter and shorter before he needs to make a new one. Part of why he wanted to facilitate Psychohistory was because he

I know it’s a minority opinion, but I actually think Foundation’s Edge is an excellent part of the Foundation series. Everything after that (including the prequels)...not so much.

I’ve actually tried to get my teenage boys to watch a lot of old movies and tv. Almost none of it holds up. Only the very very best. I will say, as a point of reference, the single best 80's movie that held their attention was The Thing.

Doesn’t “run over” imply intent to harm? The earlier case with the 16 year old was pretty obviously a case of reckless endangerment where he tried to drive past them as closely as possible, and then hit them. But this incident, particularly with a 66 year old driver, could very well be a terrible accident. I’m not

My thoughts exactly. Nothing should be allowed on the list that is currently in production, let alone 2 seasons!

It’s almost like three different shows with the same characters. I secretly think the behind the scenes HBO was like, “This is cancelled!” and then the writer was like, “Just let be retool it next season.”  HBO let it slide twice.

That was great!

As an adaption it is absolutely terrible. It is breaking all kinds of “rules” from the books that are going to make the adaptions of the second book nearly impossible (for example, the entire personal force field technology goes counter to the ENTIRE path that the Foundation was set on by Seldon - a hugely important

If you’re a fan of the books (as you and I appear to be), the show so far is an absolute travesty.  I’m almost to the point of starting a review blog that just rips into how badly this show is doing at adapting the books.

I definitely got the impression that the anti-science change happened during her lifetime.  She was a gifted math student, the purge happened and her family redirected her to become part of the church for her safety and to make money.  Yes, it would have made a little more sense if she was 5 years older, but it’s a

“Is it in the novels?”

I’m starting to think the Goyer actually hates the books and the whole show is going to be a childish refutation of every idea presented in the books.  So far, the whole show is a complete insult to everyone who is a fan of the books and the trajectory is getting worse.

As a fan of the books, this show is really starting to piss me off. The solution to the first crisis is clever and would easily work on TV and even in the context of the first two episodes. Why in the hell are they doing this? Are they really going to make a character whose most famous line in the books is “Violence

Try telling you husband to cook it how he wants and don’t complain about it no matter what. A lot of men ask because a lot of women are much pickier about the food they eat then men are. If you get out of that pattern you might not get a steak that’s salted and seared before going in the oven but he won’t be asking

I have to admit that I am shocked that they didn’t set aside a few million to hire some eastern block video game development team to make a functioning game to prevent a lawsuit (ala Starlancer).

Trust me, Olivia Munn is very very veeeeeery far from innocent.  She would sleep with a horse for fame.  If anything I suspect a “Sure I’m on the pill!” kind of move from her.
