I agree, they talk about the risk a lot more in the books. My only complaint is it should have happened during the burn (like it did to Fred in the book).

It’s weird, in the books, he really wrecks Earth a lot more than in the show (in the book it is hit with dozens of asteroids).
I think Keon Alexander is the best casting the show has done yet (although Bobbie is pretty perfect too). He is supposed to be unbelievably attractive and charismatic and the actor is just perfect for the role.
It would be nice to have someone from Mars to replace Alex (and yes, I’ve read the books so I know what happens).
You would find out in season 7 (and it’s very good). But unfortunately that’s not going to happen.
I’d love to see a streaming service try twice a week for a popular show. People would talk about it non-stop.
Getting rid of Alex and the emphasis on a romantic relationship between Amos and Julia Mao in the show, I’m terrified this going to seem like two couples on the ship.
It’s public knowledge that they had filmed everything before they decided to fire Cas Anvar (Alex). They digitally removed him from some of the party scenes at the very end.
I almost think it’s easier to recast a main character. It’s when some once-every-other episode character is recast that you are like, who is that guy?
Honestly, if the show doesn’t figure out some way of doing books 7-9 then my guess is the writers just don’t care about the show anymore. It’s going to be left in a terrible state at the end of next season.
They recast the star of Spartacus and it worked out just fine. Recasting would have been the correct choice. It also sends a better message from the production company about how they feel. Giving the character a good death somehow seems to absolve the actor from what caused the whole thing. Recasting is much more of a…
At this point I have to think season 6 being the end is a lie. They have completely screwed themselves by bring up the Laconia stuff so much. Either they are going to get three more seasons from Amazon, film and distribute three more seasons themselves, or make three movies. There is no way to satisfyingly end this in…
I remember them trying to hire me a few years ago. Lots and lots of alarms went off after talking to them. I am not surprised that they are failing. They were making all the classic mistakes that a big company getting into the industry makes. I’d love to see responses with people suggesting how they think you…
This is going to be an absolute shit show and I am 100% here to eat popcorn and laugh at this complete train wreck.
Dune is coming out on HBOMax and theaters at the same time. The post is incorrect.
It is weird though, in the books Earth is hit a lot harder, which leads to a lot of what is going on in the next book. I wonder how they are going to handle that (although, to be fair, they kind of deus-ex-machina fixed it in the end).
I think they release it at midnight eastern time. So a lot of people see it late tuesday.
They really should have given them 15 episodes. They have a LOT to cover in the next 60 minutes.
Amos is great. He’s not the same character as the book (he’s much more human in the show), but if you seperate the book from the show, the actor is hitting it out of the park.
As terrible as this is, I’m sort of hoping that destroying Dune by only making half a movie will kill off this streaming and theater thing that WB is trying.
