I am not convinced at all that Burnham was correct. The Klingons wanted a fight to unite the houses. And even if she was correct, that does not excuse her actions in any single way and it certainly does not excuse her approach (assaulting her senior officer).

I actually wonder if civil lawsuits for human accidents will go through the roof once self-driving cars are common. Juries will probably be much less forgiving if there was an easy way to avoid injury or death.

And they will also not drive too fast for the weather OR TOO SLOW!

Not so sure about church, but right after confession, yes. And yes that’s where “death bed confession” comes from.

It’s interesting, that scene in the Trailer is what made me go see the film.

I feel like every interview Redford did he talked about playing a bad guy. It’s actually part of why I went to see it!

I wouldn’t go that far, but honestly she should be in a penal colony and any suggestion that she even be allowed on a ship would be laughed out of the room.

None of these people would last 2 months in a real military as anything above a grunt. Being mature is a key part of being a commanding officer.

But Tilly is such an insecure naif that it undercuts everything that Starfleet Academy supposedly stands for.

I forget, is that before or after he disobeys orders, tortures a possibly sentient creature to death and sleeps with his commanding officer to prevent being relieved of duty?

No, he’s pretty much right. Other than robot girl (my favorite character because they haven’t wrecked her by having her speak), they are all terrible people.

The last two episodes were pretty good. This weeks was a dud. And I’m not sure if there is a single likable character (except the Klingon spy! Who is going to go through a plot crippling character transformation in 48 seconds at some point)

The problem with the Orville is you have to both support MacFarlane (who might be the grossest man in Hollywood not currently charged with sexual assault) and watch his terrible acting.

It is really destroying any continuity the Star Trek universe once had. It’s starting to really bother me now (and I don’t give a crap about minor things like the ships looking more advanced or the uniforms changing). I’m talking about big WTF stuff (like how are they ever going to resolve this cloaking thing?)

Do yourself a favor and buy Torchlight. It is great fun!

Luckily, my star for you is still full size!

I still can’t believe that Dinesh D’Souza was defending Hitler on Twitter the other day. Hitler would have literally fed this guy to his dogs and because of the state of the Republican party, this guy was defending him.

Here, let me depress you more. Probably in your set of friends, none of them believe it. None in mine do. Same is true with a lot of other repulsive theories (Obama FEMA camps, pizzagate, 6000 yo earth...), but in the general population the percent is 20-50%(!!!) for these things. That means there there are parts of

What I’d really like to see. And what I’d pay for, is a phone with a built in non-obtrusive pop-out physical controls. I’d be happy to add half a centimeter of thickness (maybe even a little more).

This kind of behaviour happens a lot of places where employees are very replaceable. In the movie industry, if you aren’t someone with money, or a real technical skill, or very high-up in management, there are twenty people behind you that can very likely do your job just as well as you and five of them will probably
