You have more faith in America than I do.

“That’s right, Tesla makes money from selling its products now.”
I have no idea why Americans here in particular are so antagonistic of an American company? The rest of the world seems to love Tesla and are buying them in droves. Is it because Musk is an internet troll? Or is it because “he’s not really ‘Murican” in the truest sense of the word? There are more shitty CEOs compared…
Yeah, it was fairly easy to get used to the Model 3 screen. If not navigating, glancing at speed is the main use, and you get used to it in a day or two.
That’s an option that most people don’t option for (even less people likely do with the price increase from $8k). Also the $10k price includes the previous $5K EAP option, which gives you auto lane change, NOA, Autopark, Summon, things that costs thousands from other automakers.
Ditto. I was unimpressed when I saw the first 3's with that screen. I had the S at the time, and really loved the dual screens and vertical main screen layout.
I felt the same way until I drove one. Love the touchscreen now. It works on the Tesla. Not sure that it would on any other competitor.
Looked through their investor presentation and was incredibly impressed with the rise they’ve gone through in the past couple years. Seems like they hit a point where they said “we’re ready to make money now” and just flipped a switch and made major headway each quarter. I don’t think anyone can argue with their…
Why so many “free market loving Americans” rally against a US company, I will never know. Elon is an asshole, but his company takes so much shit from people who would love to see them go bankrupt. I just dont get it.
So, does GM pay for the recall, LGChem or both?
Yeah, the dealership experience means you pay a scummy dealer markup, a BS extended warranty, an overpriced maintenance plan, and some sneaky fees tacked on while you’re not looking. The money goes to professional deceivers and obfuscators, and the experience is compared to pulling teeth. Oh and that sweet, sweet…
4th gear: “Turns out a centralized sales operation can screw customers over just like the dealers can.”
Definitely a dry goods hopper of some sort. You wouldn't have that steep of a slant in the bottom for liquids. Open top means indoor production use, so probably milling or food factory.
But the real question is...how fast can it get on the back of a flatbed?
Having no vehicle is preferable to owning a non-running vehicle that costs money and requires you to store it somewhere.
I’m curious what mechanism they use to “restrict” third party lease buyouts. Leases are just a contract, it allows it or it doesn’t (or is silent on the topic).
My issue with it is if the lease contract did not explicitly forbid lease buyouts from third parties, what authority does the manufacturer have to unilaterally change the terms of the lease after the contract is signed?
I’ve never leased a vehicle, so I don’t know what all of that entails. But it seems to me a shitty…
“their new, base model counterparts:”
They’d do a lot better to just put slap a 100% tax on cars that sell over 250.000€ and use the money to fit more renewable energy.
Except it's not about making money from offsets. It's about cleaning up the mess we've made. This regulation sends a message and slapping luxury brands with it is a good symbol. What's going to happen? Who knows.
