Yeah I am working with my boss to continue working from home permanently. It’s all the older execs that want to bring people back. Makes sense for them because all they do is meetings, but for me as the engineer I sit in from of a screen and type for 8 hours a day. I don’t need to be in a cubicle, I get much more done

If you had to watch patients suffer needlessly because they thought it was fine to go eat at their favorite restaurants after objectively immoral politicians placed their perceived re-election chances ahead of the lives of their constituents, you would feel the same way.

Whether they were misleading or not is irrelevant. The excuse was “copyright infringement”, and they used the same materials that Jalopnik and other sites did to review the company. It was a fair use, and if the youtuber wanted to make the fight, could probably win it.

I was really skeptical of Autopilot. When I bought my Tesla, it came with the car and I figured I just wouldn’t use it. But the reality is, it works very well and there is absolutely no mistake about what it can and cannot do. For the NCAP to arrive at their conclusion, they seem to have made some assumptions. They

Yeah, SpaceX really blew by the competition so much that it’s not even fair to call them competition any more.

After owning one for a little over a year I can honestly say that if you cant charge at home dont buy an EV.

If you think Tesla is disrupting the car industry take a look at spacex which has single handedly destroyed old space companies around the world. They have and will continue to dominate spacelaunch services for the foreseeable future. Elon has assembled in both companies a large highly motivated staff and given them

Well because the “dope-smoking Twitter clown” has vision, focus, tenacity and is not beholden to manufacturing cars using the same infrastructure and processes that has been used most of the last century by the other automakers.

Despite the Tesla hate around here.. they are the only real viable electric car out there. Their ranges are the best, and theirs is the only charging network you can actually rely on.

I’m not surprised at all. Elon may be an asshole but he’s a real leader with a proper vision for his companies. Many years ago you could say the same for the other car companies but what about now?

1st gear - Elon is a fucking asshole but the company he runs is ahead of the pack and kicking some ass. Maybe some other giant manufacturers can give them some competition and us, as consumers, some cheaper offerings before like 2025?

Every single OEM has some sort of ACC/LKASS system in production and by and large, they’re shit. My own Honda’s is both utterly useless and rather dangerous to use. Worse, unlike Tesla’s, it’s never going to get better either, as there’s no provision for updates.

1st Gear: Perhaps we should look at these systems differently.

If you actually read 1st gear, you’d see NCAP considers it very effective, but they don’t like the name, the fact the interior cam doesn’t surveil the driver and they want a HUD.

I do far more long distance freeway driving than I do driving in town, so things like adaptive cruise control are amazing for taking a 7 hour drive and making it feel just a little less long and awful. In town, not gonna lie, having auto emergency braking isn’t the worst thing in the world. Figure that would probably

I mean, I don’t agree with the new pay system, but at least give some fair criticism of it. The actual goal is $16/hr after expenses. $30/hr is what they think is needed to cover expenses and produce a wage of $16/hr. A uber driver making that$30/hr has much higher expenses than a teacher making $30/hr; not

In the Model 3, the lane departure warning is a done by shaking the steering wheel. You have to actually cross a lane marker to trigger it.

The Model 3 was the first Tesla to come with an interior camera.

I’m no Tesla fanboy, but JESUS EFFING CHRIST, this “Autopilot isn’t really autopilot hur-dur” shit is exhausting, isn’t it?

I really, truly, believe that everyone that’s continually complaining about ‘Autopilot’ being a deceptive name that misleads people is grossly misjudging the people that buy these cars.
