From Tesla response: “......pedal was pressed 100% as shown by the two redundant sensors located on the accelerator pedal that monitor the pedal’s physical position.”

Data connection was broken in that crash and family prevented Tesla from accessing wreck to retrieve data from it.

Tesla was prevented from accessing car wreck to determine (from logs) what happened and if AP was activated, or not.

Tesla was prevented from gaining access to vehicle and, so they cannot prove/disprove that AP was used.

Initial production is planned for 30K per year - with possible upgrade to 50K per year - so Bolt wont be able to steal large number of those waiting to Model 3 due to production limitations.

IIRC California has a law that landlord cannot block instalation of EV charger.

For that kind of money, I would instread get Tesla Model S P100DL

100D will be available in a few months.

A few people done such upgrade with original Model S cars to install and enable AP. Cost wasnt worth it - would be easier to sell original car and buy a new one.

Model 3 base cost is similar (lower actually) than Bold - hardly “toy-for-rich-people”

last time I checked, this prototype (not even remotely close to a production sedan, or SUV) is quicker, not faster, than Tesla cars

Elon said clearly, that he wont vote with his shares about this action - so other shareholders will be free to decide, what happens.

37 out of 40 cases reported to NHTSA were fake/fraud - so I dont see a problem with Tesla suspensions. Only problem I see is likely attempt to manipulate stock price by people who shorted it.

As far as I am concerned fake HNTSA submissions are a bigger issue, than snarky reply from Tesla. I see sarky response as perfectly appropriate to false accusations. Also, Niedermeyer and other trolls shold be investigated by SEC for possible attempt to manipulate stock prices for their financial benefit.

Visiting a dealer, for SW bug?

Israel is working on system for helicopters.

@Jalopnik - Tesla doesnt have model years....

It helps all EV sales - its not exclusive to Tesla

3rd Gear - GM should take a serious look at its own actions as a reason, why they dont get even fraction of credit/hype that Tesla gets. Tesla, despite not having money to waste, built international supercharger network, while GM publicly said that they dont give a shit about building charging infrastructure. GM
