I am of several minds on this, especially now so many years removed.

Firstly, the ending wasn’t great, especially in it’s original form. Even explained, it was particularly satisfying, That general criticism was valid then, and is still valid.

And the extended ending did help make the different outcomes more

People really zero in on this as a problem but I’m personally not convinced it is. To me, what matters is the illusion that your choices matter. Good writing can make it seem like they do without actually having to diverge too significantly along a branching narrative path. That’s just my opinion, though - people who

I was unfortunate enough to work with the EA community team on social media at the time. I remember the tenor of discussions changing from “OMG LOVE YOU GUYS” to “WTF YOU ARE ARE HORRIBLE, HAVE DONE SOMETHING HORRIBLE AND SHOULD BE MADE TO FEEL HORRIBLE 24/7" almost instantly. Nothing quite like seeing the mob light

Long touted as a series in which players’ choices mattered, Mass Effect 3 notoriously wrapped up the trilogy with three endings that were largely similar in appearance save for different-colored explosions

Save files are console-based, Switch saves have never been cartridge based.

List, because these things shouldn’t be slideshows.

Republicans don’t believe in anything.  Is a platform to get the wealthies wealthier and everyone not “in the joke” is just a pawn they use.

My first thought was “I would have thought Republicans believed in the sanctity of private property” but then I realized that Republicans don’t believe that children have rights between birth and adulthood.

“led an aggressive and groundbreaking online media outreach effort aimed at electing John McCain, Sarah Palin and Republicans across the US [...] against representatives of the Obama campaign and the DNC.”

Ah, the “obviously just jokingTrump Defense.

To take the math further, I’ve currently got three people on my family plan that all pay Animal Crossing. It would cost us $75 total to each get the DLC pack, or for an additional $45 dollars total (already paying $35 for the vanilla family plan) we all get access to the ACDCL. No brainer in this particular situation.

The N64 controller is sold out.  Don’t think it will flop.

Well I mean, as of right now the options for the sixty bazillion Animal Crossing players on Switch are:

GYROIDS! FUCK YEAH!

I wish they’d add more lines for the NPCs. Maybe they said they would? I’m sure they’ll talk about the new stuff going on, but I could use more generic conversation lines, too.

Really annoyed this is spread out over like 6 blog posts. Enjoy your clicks, vultures.

Going to have to get back into ACNH for this. Also might have to get back into the turnip market now that I have a reason to care about bells again.

Did they ever add QOL stuff like the ability to craft multiple of the same items, or taking away the need to craft a crappy piece of gear first to make the better piece if you already have all the materials for the better piece? Or allowing you to put stuff in storage from anywhere?

Very excited for this in spite of myself heavily wishing it’d all been here quite a bit earlier, when I still actively played. But maybe I'll finally have to go back.

Cool to hear! I know there was a lot of panic of "is this game over?" (as in finished) so it's neat Nintendo is still rolling out some useful stuff (thank you, ordinances, as a night owl who works late).
