It’s weird to me that a gaming website is constantly surprised at the existence of copyright law, and doesn’t seem to quite grasp that the law does not require that you make money off the infringement for it to be illegal.

Thanks for the info!

I haven’t! It was on my radar at launch, but I read there were some really annoying technical bugs (e.g. 3+ minute load times), and I never heard if they patched them and it kind of fell off my radar.

It was interesting reading Press Reset and how people had to be brought on to actually push Ken to finish the damn games. Like a lot of artists, he seems to be one that does better with someone with enough power to force him to deadlines.

Excellent news! It’s nice to have a bunch of fun games on the list, and I’m glad to hear Voice of Cards is good; it’s in my eshop wishlist.

No new releases to pick up, but that’s fine, as I’ve just started Ruined King: A League of Legends story. My impression so far is that Miss Fortune is very badass, and I’m excited to see where it goes!

Littlewood was great. A nice balance of crafting, farming, and caring about your villagers without overstaying its welcome. It didn’t quite stick the ending, but it was definitely one of my faves this year. I’m also thinking of picking up Islanders; I’ve been in the mood to play some sort of town management sim

I like it! I also keep track of what games I “completed.” As I’ve gotten older, I have less tolerance for pouring in hours into games I’m not enjoying just to say I beat it. I’m at 21 games this year, with my first game of the year being Murder by Numbers and the last being SMTV.

Which is what I’m still playing. I’m

I agree. I think people are just at a BEC level with him, where anything he does is The Worst. If I went over to a friend’s house and saw that table, I’d think it was cool af.

BotW is a five-year-old game, btw, so it'd still qualify even under your proposed moratorium.

Did Kotaku ever release a review for Bravely Default II? The linked Impressions article says one is coming, but I can't find it. Curious to read it, since the Impressions article gave off the vibe that the negatives, at the very least, are strongly felt.

It's hard to find outrage about this. "People no longer on Twitch aren't being actively promoted by Twitch." Like yes? That's how business works.

I’m most excited for Loco Motive and Parkasaurus. I don’t have a great sense of what Gerda is about, but the art style looks lovely, and I’m keen to keep an eye on it.

They look bored af.

This. I know some people who are trying to hire, and it’s really an employees’ market right now. The highest skilled, most experienced employees can kind of pick wherever they want. A friend of mine told me that if there’s the slightest delay in moving the interview process to the next step, you’re basically

A comparison to Pokemon is honestly more logical. Persona is SMT crossed with a life simulation game. SMT is the original monster collecting extravaganza; it's a jrpg with monster collecting elements, but with a much steeper difficulty hike than Pokemon.

NGL, the SMT plots have always been bonkers nonsense to me, but I am here for another go all the same.

I don’t really “get” Just Dance. As far as I can tell, it’s a full priced game that you then have to pay a subscription to be able to access all the content. Clearly it’s made them gobs of money, but I don’t follow the value to the consumer.

RFA was a lifesaver, tbh. I wish you much luck in your fitness journey, friend!

This looks so cute, and I love it. I can’t wait to take it on my next hike.
