Did Rogen make the offer?

They had special Marvel modes for a limited time during the Marvel Battle Pass, where the various powers were available as power ups, but you only get the cosmetics now.

It’s a unique digital file granted by the original owner of some form of unique content. It is, ostensibly, one of a kind. It’s hard for people to wrap their head around it in this context because most people are accustomed to digital files being trivially simple to duplicate... but ultimately the ease with which a

I can have a near perfect replica of pretty much any baseball card or painting made... it doesn’t make it worth much of anything. The same can be said of an NFT file.

I admit that it’s weird, largely because it’s hard to believe that a digital file can truly be unique, but it’s not significantly more weird than many

My only concern, tepidly offered, is that people (probably mostly girls) may start feeling extraordinary pressure to dress or behave particular ways on camera because it’s the only (or most reliable) way to gain subs (and money) on these platforms.

I guess Marilyn Monroe was a sex worker? Show some skin and get paid for it? You seem a bit puritanical.

It’s irresponsible, as an adult, to provide your banking details to anyone when you don’t have to. You should be paying bills by CC whenever possible.

They do continue to top the Steam charts every time it goes on sale... but they have a relatively small dev team and they made a shitload of money at release. I suspect they could have floated development for a decade on the initial influx of sales alone.

I think this situation is especially galling because most people playing on next-gen or PC think the game is, at worst, fine. A lot of folks are putting it on their GOTY short list. It runs fine on the new consoles and the PC folks are accustomed to games running like ass on older hardware.

This is pretty true to my experience with PC games... those were often a crap-shoot in previous decades (yay for near-infinite hardware permutations)... but console games were usually completely playable (even if they weren’t good).

If a citizen engages in journalistic behavior, they ought to be held to the same standards of a journalist.

The amount of self-righteous indignation in these comments aimed at my fond memories of collecting plastic @#$% that I, narrowly avoiding death and/or maiming, just ended up blowing up using left over (probably expired) fireworks is really killing my buzz.

I got cheap plastic shit, often second-hand, because it was all

The biggest problem with the disingenuous Rachel Dolezal argument is that you have no other examples to cite. She culturally appropriated and lied about her ethnic origins, and only when she was caught in the lie did she claim internal identity.

You probably don’t watch John Oliver, but last night they showed the vintage anti-littering ad with the famous “crying Indian” who was not played by an actual indigenous man, but an Italian American. In other words, it was a lie.

Rowling seems to be, above all else, making the argument that because women are in a protected category (oppressed, primarily by men) there must be some caution/consideration around the process of biological men identifying as women. There is more to her argument, some of it very problematic, but this is the central

I only ask because the very same people that say things like you’re saying tend to be extremely dismissive of a genetically Caucasian woman that that wants to identify as a black woman (and wants to be treated as such).

Also... PS4/PS5/XB1/XBSX all use the same architecture (x86) and platform (AMD). The biggest change from last gen to current gen was higher performance overall and storage bandwidth. They are all much more alike than different.

Tell us more?

To be absolutely clear... I don’t want anyone to suffer needlessly. If recognizing internal identity as paramount is the thing necessary to allow people to thrive in this world then that must be part of the right path for society... but do we get to pick and choose when it’s appropriate to believe people?!

...and that believing people when they tell you who they are is key to treating people properly in this world.
