I think a hidden benefit could be that if you don’t engage with social media, it’s like you don’t even exist. It would be a little like that Black Mirror episode where you’re just blurred out. That seems weirdly liberating.

At this point, sending an investigator was pretty much standard procedure.
Of course. It also extends a certain level of plausible deniability to 2k.
I feel like there are a few things missing from this list. I think most of the people commenting are right to say that each of these things are pretty minor, on their own... but, put them all together.
Sending an investigators isn’t intimidation.
One of the most important metrics for these blogs is Time on Page and a 15 second complaint dropped in the comments (after skipping past most, if not all, of the article) is going to net them a much lower TOP than what they would have received had these people not been annoyed by a disingenuous title.

I feel like that first one is a real person that they put a weird plastic neck tie on to mislead us in to believing it’s fake. I mean... the transparency on the teeth... the peach fuzz on the face... incredible.
The main difference is that Chiarelli is active in the film industry (at least 3 writing credits for successful films, 5-6 producer credits for films) and Lim’s only credit in Film is writing for CRA. That is it. One credit. The rest of her, admittedly expansive, experience is with Television. From that perspective…
The only movie writing credit Lim has is CRA. Chiarelli has several successful film writing credits (in addition to CRA). From the studios perspective (flawed or not), Chiarelli has several times the experience that Lim has and it (ostensibly) has nothing to do with her race or sex.
People are getting confused because…
If your facts were straight you would have a very good point.
The excuse is completely valid, when it actually applies, isn’t it? I mean... I presume Bullock made vastly more money than Reynolds from The Proposal because, at the time, she was the bigger name with more experience. That makes sense.
It seems that the real problem here is that Lim actually seems to have at least as…
“industry-standard established ranges based on experience and that making an exception would set a troubling precedent in the business.”
It seems to me that game companies have always been ignoring some ultra-toxic minority of people online and have simply found it convenient in recent years to draw attention to these trolls because lamenting their mistreatment shifts the narrative away from their underlying bad behavior.

I think this topic collapses down to a generic (perhaps unavoidable) interaction between capitalism and demographics.
Things are working out fantastically for him, just not by the rigid standards of the “Late Night War”. He’s, for sure, making wads of cash on about 5 or 6 different fronts instead of just one.
I think I’m experiencing the liberal version of trump-conservative-nihilism... I kind of want to see the train-wreck of her presidency.
What do you think the chances are that Gwyneth Paltrow would be on her staff?
You’re just on the wrong platform for that.
You probably notice that there are some varied reactions to your story and it’s probably because it could be summed-up as “did job, was paid agreed-upon wage for it”, but there are a thousand little things that can make that simple story torture for an person.
It’s important that these companies make a real effort to…
I had to google it to figure out what you were talking about. I don’t think they are worried.
