I had the same reaction, but I think it’s only two guys doing security for Giannis. The rotund guy in the background looks like building security.

They just make up a big proportion of the people in what seems to be a fairly small room.

Isn’t this just a writer/director maintaining the status quo? I mean... writers and directors (with the power/influence to choose) have been focusing on characters that they can (more easily) identify with for as long as their have been writers and directors.

I am a bit conflicted about Thor: Ragnorak. On one hand... it’s a horrible mess of a narrative, leaning heavily (exclusively?) on rapid-fire 1 dimensional jokes... but... it was still a ton of fun to watch.

It’s the only Marvel movie where it seemed that everyone involved was having fun in nearly every scene.

That is the first thing I thought of, but it’s not really much of a zinger. These people may very well have the same complaints in those instances as well.

The reality seems to be that most of these complaints are trolling. Many (if not most) explicitly bring up the Jackson nip-slip as precedent for the complaint... as

Did anyone in the comments here actually bother reading any of these complaints? I’ve gone through a bunch and most of them read as jokes.

You people are behaving as though 50 people walked in from the 1940's to make absurd complaints rather than, more likely, 3 vaguely tech savvy people had enough spare time on their

Yeah, this is classic CS plugin behavior. I actually wasn’t a fan of it because the plugin usually caused reflect damage immediately... I like the way they set this one up to give you a warning first so the one-off mistake doesn’t cause lost rounds.

The “choosing to forgive” thing will just cause tension to escalate so

I don’t think they would be complaining if it was just their loved one voicing a concern about a tiny increase in likelihood of an already low probability event.

People have a lot of trouble contextualizing the results of these studies... the answers on surveys don’t always map well with reality, the sampling sizes are

White supremacy is, at least in my experience, weirdly prevalent in the Counter Strike. It’s probably still a small minority engaging in shitty stuff like this, and a big portion of the phenomenon is probably more about trolling that sincere intolerance, but it seems a fairly common thing.

I think Ned would reply to your comment with, “May you live in interesting times”.

Did you bother reading the comment you’re trying (and failing) to undermine? The commentor is referring to all the things she said and done related to this issue (not just the few references made in this article that are aimed to support a single narrative). Yes... you can catch moments where she seems reasonable on

It’s probably... like... 3 dudes grinning with delight over all the attention their side-gig is generation.

Context obviously matters.

I giggled when I read the last paragraph on that review.

On the other side of that coin... it would be nice to be able to share a critical opinion of a movie, that happens to have a female and/or minority lead, without getting summarily thrown in some shitty box with legitimate misogynists and/or racists.

Do you generally expect randos on the internet to be reasonable, thoughtful, people that express sincerely held opinions? That seems to be the hinge upon which this entire post pivots.

I’m just curious what you think about the reality that you are never likely to see “enough” people that look like you in... any medium. You are part of a minority group in America and it would take extraordinarily racist policies for you to see more characters like you than would reasonably be expected by the

Holy *#&^... that Steve Lootbox tweet is so on-point that it hurts.

I imagine that would depend on the salary. You can be unhappy with your salary and still wipe your ass with $3,500.

At least from my perspective (as a pure consumer of the platform that wants videos promote that I’m actually interested in) it worked exactly as it should. I am much more interested in seeing Jack Black on Youtube than I am pretty much any “real” youtuber.

Listen... it seems like you think I want to prosecute people for thought crimes or something. That isn’t what I’m saying. I’m talking about conversations. If you think someone has bad motives then no one stands to lose anything and everyone has everything to gain by talking about it... maybe you or they (or both) will
