I was 100% going to say the same thing. That’s just poor planning if you end up needing to stop there. If you are heading in to that general area and DON’T stop to fill up, in say Barstow, you are just dumb.

Some dudes: “ after buying my 1 ton truck, 40 ft camper, ATVs, SXS, snowmobiles, jet skis, bass boat, ice house and Harleys, I can’t afford gas, damn commie liberals”

tldr; Toyotas, Hondas, Trucks.

My 24Hours of Lemons family did build it.

I’m surprised to see the Prius all the way down at 25.  Thought it would be higher than that.

As cool as the idea is, the Ford Nucleon might take the cake. Putting a nuclear reactor on a car with 50s safety standards and drivers might be the single most insane car idea in history. Granted, we got some cool designs for Fallout from it, at least.

This seems like a good deal to me, anybody that buys a German car this old had better have a good mechanic or so the work themselves. The preventative stuff on the cooling system (if not done) is not that expensive to do yourself.

There’s a problem with wildly overcharging people for things in short supply and big demand?”

On the one hand - isn’t this the “dream” of capitalism fully realized?

Its the same situation at the Needles outpost

This is going to need about that much again in updates just from age, use and rot. If you’re okay with that I guess it’s a NP, but I’m not paying 10k plus repairs for something this old. And repairs made? Minimum. I know. I am making them myself on an ‘06 (that I feel is a more durable make/model).

I went shopping with my buddy for a fresh-off-a-lease e46 3 series back in 2007-ish. We drove a 330 sedan versus a 330 coupe w/ sport package - they felt like completely different cars. The couple with the M-sport goodies looked and felt like a baby M3. The sedan was nice enough, definitely more comfortable and

If this isn’t a prime example of the real reason for “inflation” 🙄

And they’re suggesting that $3.59 is average? So you can get it for less at half the stations???

Supply and demand, baby. Same price structure on cruise ships and movie theaters. And in defense of the gas station, a little pre-planning with fueling up before driving into the desert and traveling with plenty of water is simple common sense.

There was a time anyone could go to a gate without a ticket to meet arrivals.

Had he simply checked to see if the flight was fully booked and then waited for a flight with open seats he would have gotten away with it easily.

Jesus, tailgating is the oldest trick in the book to sneak into a place you don’t belong. The fact that such a method can work in airports is baffling!

Depreciation: then go buy a slightly used EV that has already been hit with the depreciation hammer. That’s what I did and with the $4k tax credit it was a fantastic deal!
