I live alone and I need to purchase tiny quantities of fresh food because it often spoils by the end of the week. I often eschew the big supermarkets in favor of local groceries because I only need a single tomato or 3 oz of greens for my weekly sandwiches. I keep bread in the refrigerator because a single loaf lasts

I just tell everyone of all body shapes and sizes “you look great!” and leave it at that.

In 1999 I lived next door to an old, rich guy and one day over beers he told me that his eyesight had deteriorated to the point where he feared he was unable to drive. He asked if I wanted to use his new Cadillac DeVille. We took that thing on many roadtrips in excess of 100 miles and it was like riding on a luxurious

I’m poor and probably never will be able to afford a RV so it’s tent camping for us. It’s awesome until it starts to rain. And rain. And rain. And rain. Then tent camping sucks.

Those teardrop campers were selling for well under $10k before COVID.

I’m from the Bronx and I am 1000x more scared in southeast Ohio and West Virginia than I am anywhere in the 5 boroughs (even Staten Island that place is weird).

The resale value of teardrop trailers is crazy...approaching Toyota Tacoma levels of craziness. If you sold it now, you’d be making a quick profit.

$5-6K is at the low end of tri bikes, bro. If there is one athlete who loves throwing money at their sport, it’s a triathlete.

My only advice to parents is to avoid slideshows on Kinja.

If you are rehydrating dried mushrooms, don’t pour the used water down the sink! It adds amazing flavor to dishes like risotto.

I survived 16 years of Catholic school and almost a decade working in Catholic parishes and schools. The best Catholic film is Heaven Help Us. It’s gotta be worth a plenary indulgence or two.

My nephew does exactly that. Earned $100k right out of college working remotely from his apartment, which he rents in a city with a low cost of living.

I was really rooting for the Bolt to be an affordable alternative to the Tesla, but it looks like I may need to wait a little longer to see it happen.

I quit driving for Lyft in 2018 after I saw my average hourly gross pay decline from around $15/hour to $10/hour. And skinflint riders rarely tipped. It was a fun and flexible job, but I was tired of putting wear & tear on my car for peanuts.

I know plenty of folks making 90k+ a year in jobs that would be 30% less outside of the government.”
