I’m in the same boat as you - I would have loved to give the TourX a try. Let me know how you find the 6MT alltrack - it’s also on my list!

Yep - I’m in Calgary and probably see more A4 Avant’s than allroads, at worst, it’s more or less even, and they haven’t sold those in Canada in like 4 years!

I’m still utterly vexed at the decision not to offer this thing in Canada. Outbacks are everywhere! We get the C-Class wagon! VW alltracks and Golf Sportwagens with proper manuals! There was a Volvo plant in Halifax and they’re still loved on the east coast.

My dad did that with his old Buick and I still taunt him about it.

When first reading the headline my answer was going to be ‘the only other interested buyer is David Tracy’ but that Slack exchange really takes the zing out of that statement.

Niiiiccceee - doesn’t look to be any out west yet, which is why I’ve never come across them on AT.

Is this up on the configurator? I haven’t been able to track it down aside from a news release from back in May.

Ugh this is just as bad as FCA’s never-ending tease for the Demon.

They did? I’ve only seen the the vanilla version listed. Source?

I drove both a 3-wagon and a T5 V60 (2018) last week and aside from the 3-series having a bit more pep and less discernible turbo lag I thought the Volvo was the more comfortable place to be. Hoping to line up a T6 to drive to see if that pep-gap closes.

What about Canada? We’re a little more wagon-positive up here (although that didn’t stop Buick from nonsensically choosing not to offer the TourX here, even though Outbacks are ubiquitous.

Yep, and they ding my average, normal sized car because THEIR car is too fucking big.

I was going to hold out for a T6 but it sounds like the T5 is more than enough (and one less supercharger to go wrong..) especially since i’m coming from a wheezy, anemic 148hp Subaru w/ the CVT.

I think I’m one in the making, but we’ll see how it feels behind the wheel!

Glad to hear that! This Friday I’m hoping to test drive the new V60 (if the dealer has one) as well as a few pre-owned V60's of this style, all with T5's. Also got a 3-series wagon to drive that day as well so it’ll be interesting to compare them back to back!

Niicccee - how do you like it? Going to look at some this week myself.

Just in America I would assume, as Volvo dealers in western Canada are starting to receive them. Hoping to go check one out on Friday actually.

Having seen a few G70's running around lately can confirm it looks great in person, and better than the Stinger IMO.

Isn’t that Nissan now?

Hard to keep the car steady when you’ve got to catch up on Instagram posts.
