reminds me of the CVT in my ‘12 Impreza. I recently moved from dead-flat prairie to the Rocky Mountain foothills and this transmission whines like a bastard on even the slightest inclines.
I don’t think it’s gotten to that point yet - there’s still a team in the Canadian Football League called the Edmonton Eskimos. Mind you, resistance to that name is ramping up, but not quite to Redskin-levels yet.

After four years with a CVT in my 2012 Impreza, I can safely say I will never opt for one again. Not that their old 4AT was any good, but this whiny, lagging contraption is just trash.
A friend of mine used to have a 1st generation CRV in Forest Green and that thing went pretty much anywhere. Great times had in that car.
