I had a feeling this episode would be right up your alley, LibraryLass. They even gave you some off-screen Barb/Greg interactions.

"A corner piece? But there aren't supposed to be any corner pieces. Does that mean I was lied to? Or is that the only corner piece in the puzzle? Is it designed that way or just added by mistake? My precious symmetry…"
I liked the meta gags in "Know Your Fusion", but they're definitely more excusable in an extradimensional talk show format. If you didn't like those jokes, this season might not be endearing itself to you as a whole.
Mr. Smiley only has himself to blame for paying thousands of dollars for that piece of junk.
Ruby is Mario (flame powers), Sapphire is Peach (long dress, fond of floating), and Kevin is Toad because they both are terrible.
There's only one thing scarier than The Beast, and that's Will Smith as a CGI fish.
Big Time is my all-time favorite music video for exactly that reason.
Argh! What an episode to miss the discussion on. It could have easily been a two part episode with all it had going for it. I was slightly worried that Joe Johnson's promotion to supervising director meant we wouldn't see more fight scenes of the caliber that his collaborations with Jeff Liu wrought, but this…
Jasper fused out of hatred for the CGs, particularly Garnet, and Lapis joined out of hatred for Jasper, and to a lesser extent mistrust of the CGs. Jasper wanted to reform Malachite because of the power it granted her, while Lapis missed Malachite because, at a deep primal level, she enjoyed hurting Jasper for all…
I have to give the edge to Sardonyx as well. Stevonnie is wonderful, but those 360 degree points of articulation are too cool. She got some great use out of them in this episode.
Regular Show is probably best known for its licensed 80s music, but it does have Mark Mothersbaugh working on their background music team. Some of Mordecai and Rigby's improvised raps are pretty catchy too.
She must have hit the foley guy. I only know Wilhelms and Howies by name, so it's fortunate it wasn't a more exotic one.
That's the one.
I'm actually going to be away from home for the next few weeks, but when I get back I'm going to prioritize seeing Kubo and the Two-Strings and Song of the Sea.
I have to agree. Intentional or not, the lack of Stevonnie's typical charm in favor of more Kevin stings.
"Beta"/"Earthlings"
"Mr. Greg"
"Crack the Whip"
"Monster Reunion"
"Restaurant Wars"
I've been thinking about the "fusions as individuals" aspect of the show recently, and it's led me back to thinking about Malachite. She's the product of the worst possible relationship, but she was brought about by that mutual act of hatred against her will. All of the CGs hate her, and even one half of her…
It's been great commenting here, but I definitely won't mind returning to a more manageable schedule. My evenings have been almost completely consumed by thinking and talking about this show.
Smoky Quartz has found the Hookshot! Use it to have any chance of making it through the wide awake nightmare that is the Water Temple!
"Jasper! When I killed your Diamond, I sounded just… liKE… THIS!"
