I haven't watched it, though I do want to since it features both Jeremy Shada and Josh Keaton. The integration of the giant robot elements sounds like one of the issues I had with Symbionic Titan. Liked the show a lot overall, but only once or twice did the giant robot battles ever seem to have a sense of tension or

He is correct, though. Monkeys suck and have never been funny.

Next time on Steven Universe: Greg and Amethyst get Peridot hooked on Lil' Butler.

Perhaps, though I would assume Steven and Connie graduating to a teenage model would involve a noticeable height change as well. Wardrobe changes have become pretty commonplace, but changing something crucial to the model (height, size, number of arms, etc) is more difficult to factor in.

I always slightly preferred "Strong in the Real Way" over "Stronger Than You" (purely a matter of taste, both songs are awesome), but "It's Over"/"I Was Fine" gives both a run for their money. Instant classic.

I wouldn't mind seeing that, but I'm not holding my breath. After hearing that the resolution to Finn's arm arc in AT was because CN wanted to avoid that drastic changes to the show's status quo, I fear a dramatic redesign of any of the main cast isn't something they will approve either.

One of my favorite moments was when Steven revealed that he did that on purpose. Steven's graduated to the point where he's intentionally trying to help the Gems work through their issues rather than accidentally, or just offering uncomprehending but unconditional love. I can't imagine Season 1 Steven delivering the

Now I want to see a cut of the Godfather where the house pianist starts banging out ragtime tunes while the mobsters are trying to discuss family business.

Correction: loving Steven Universe don't cost nothing… so long as you pirate all the episodes.

I certainly don't think it is. But this is an important turning point for Greg and Pearl's relationship. Before this they were locked in that eternal stalemate, each unwilling to broach the subject with the other, destined to never make any progress with confronting the issues between them. They're still not best

I would argue that SU does go against the grain on a lot of relationship and character tropes. It's not done just to be a shocking swerve or for a joke, but because it makes for legitimately better characters. Connie's unmerciful destruction of a whole host of love interest tropes, everything about Pearl, Greg and

The can! His groin! It works on so many levels!

If I recall my crew interviews correctly, WWII did not happen in their timeline. A guy named Adolf Hitler could have existed, perhaps as a failed artist turned truck driver.

Given those differences, it would be unfair of me to expect Steven Universe to do the story better than Adventure Time, but "Drop Beat Dad" didn't really differentiate itself from any other show that's handled a deadbeat dad character. Even Gumball put more of a spin on it.

That one line perfectly encapsulates how much I've missed the classic CG's banter.

Tell me we're going to watch the cluster, and it's going to be awesome!

Maybe it's just me being a fan of the Eeyore archetype, but I think he still has a place in the show's dynamic. Maybe he and Lapis can have a mope-off.

21 episodes over a month? Just when I thought we were moving away from the bomb format.

At least let him live in a house! Even if it's not with his son, he deserves that much.

Not to mention ripping an arcade cabinet apart with his bare hands, hefting teenagers twice his side like they're nothing, etc. They've done a good job of subtly depicting his supernatural Gem strength. This is just the first episode that's ever directly acknowledged it.
