I can get behind that.
I can get behind that.
I've seen a lot of speculation about that as well, though I have to admit I'm not a fan of the idea. If the end goal is to make Homeworld into sympathetic villains, making it so they're just following orders punts on the problem. While Homeworld is absolved somewhat, now their precursors are the heartless conquerors…
Clarence is usually hit or miss for me, but the past string of episodes have all been hits. My mom has been a teacher for 30+ years, so seeing episodes depicting Ms. Baker as a put-upon but effective and nurturing teacher are an easy way to get on my good side.
He's the same VA as Muscle Man and Benson. I think it's just a function of there being more Rigby focus episodes this season.
I do have to wonder why they're so fixated on conquest and expansion. They're fully self-sufficient beings, so they do not require food or water. They're effectively immortal, so their population doesn't naturally decrease at a rate that would require constant expansion to maintain their numbers. Without those…
At the very least they needed to buy Steven a new microwave.
As someone who dislikes spoilers, I'm in my Maple Street-style bunker for the foreseeable future.
I will admit that's one thing that's bothered me about a lot of the theories about Lapis' place in the Gem hierarchy. A single loyal Lapis could have crushed the rebellion without getting out of her metaphorical bed. Using her as a messenger or scout seems like the most grievous possible waste of strategic resources.
I remember one of my favorite parts of "Lion 2: The Movie" was Steven's, and by extension the show's, commitment to finding both the fantastic and the mundane aspects of the world equally fascinating. Spending extended amounts of time focused on a single Gem plays against that to some degree. It's certainly not…
I was picking up on the same thing myself. Seems only appropriate, given how yuri-friendly the main world is.
The Grables format works very well for the Fionna and Cake universe, giving us the opportunity to see designs (and voices!) for a larger number of characters in the relatively short time we get to spend in their world. Crispin Freeman pulling double duty as Turtle Prince and Ice President was a delight, and nothing…
Some great facial expressions from this episode. Peridot was on point as always, and I laughed every time Lapis looked at her like she wanted to skin her alive. I am starting to miss the Crystal Gems and the other human characters through this arc though. It seems like this arc is progressing by gradually…
Very possible. I'll admit I'm not up to speed on this AU's lore, heh.
Hilary's promo art seems to be a reference to the fan art that swaps around the Crystal Gems. Opal is the perma-fusion, while Ruby and Sapphire spend their time separate. This episode was just brimming with fanservice.
He and Connie share a weakness when it comes to seeing sitcom/soap opera tropes to their conclusions.
Do you grok my jive, me hearties?
While normally true, when she ocean was stolen, all of Beach City showed up on the Gems' doorstep and Garnet explicitly said that Lapis was the one that took it. Pearl even included a handy hologram for visual identification. I wouldn't have remembered this if I hadn't just seen those episodes again during one of…
I want to see her react to his album art.
Constants and variables.
I made XCOM teams with SU characters to cope with the hiatus. It… did not end well.
