He doesn't have hands to hold!
He doesn't have hands to hold!
The unicorn, if only because I doubted it survived "The Last Mabelcorn".
I also say worse, mostly because "Iron Man" the song isn't actually about Iron Man the character.
There's just something fundamentally right about the last thing the Lich hears being a jaunty "Housekeeping!" before a giant pink laser erases him from existence.
I'm actually glad Prismo fast-forwarded through the recap of "Finn the Human"/"Jake the Dog". My fear was that the recap was going to take up more time than it should have, plus it makes a nice callback to "The Lich" with Booko rattling off the entire multiverse concept in one breathless minute of exposition.
I'll believe it when I see it. I've… I've just been hurt so many times in the past.
It must not have worked! Have you seen his head?
It's interesting to see Finn and Jake as a part of Candy Kingdom law enforcement in a more official sense. It's a good follow-up to "Candy Streets". This felt like some good old-fashioned heroics from Finn. It was interesting to consider Finn's own upbringing in comparison the Marshmallow Kids. We don't have many…
The art of feathering hair that much has been lost for decades!
"You Forgot Your Floaties" seemed to imply that Magic Man's power (and all magical power in Ooo) and his madness were inextricably linked. In inheriting his power, she also inherited his insanity. Betty could still be fighting through to try and find a way to contain the crown's power, while the Magic Man side is…
I definitely want to know more about Magic Betty. And I don't trust that her fix to the crown was a straightforward cure either.
All the fire in the title card had me briefly thinking it was Flame Princess as revenge for freezing over her kingdom. There really aren't that many suspects for someone who would willingly pick a fight with the Ice King though.
One of their guys pulls a fox, you pull a Finn. If one of their guys takes a Gunther, you take a pillow. That's the Ice King way. That's how you get the crown.
One of those turned out better than the other for the jumper.
I was unsure of how well the world of Ooo would transition into stop-motion style animation, but I was pleasantly surprised by the results. All the models looked great and expressive, though as noted Jake doesn't get to stretch too much. I have a feeling some of the more fanciful denizens of Ooo would tax…
When Finn discovered that Blank Eyed Girls only started appearing 5 years ago, I was sure they were going to go with the reveal that they were all a hoax perpetrated by Starchy. When the girls removed their contacts I was sure I was right. Then they removed their heads… Masterful.
PB was still crownless in this episode, so I choose to believe it's taking place before "Stakes", chronologically. Seems like everyone except Marcy was from the Candy Kingdom, so maybe PB just organizes field trips for her citizens to go spy on Finn and Jake.
Maybe it was just that I was silently chanting for Marceline to decloak and join the boys on their adventure, but all the characters suddenly appearing in Finn and Jake's house made me cackle like a maniac. One of the flat out funniest episodes since "Time Sandwich" for me, though I'll need a minute to decide whether…
The comics took that joke and ran with it too.
This time, BMO doesn't walk off into the sunset with Lorraine.
