Very possible. I'm mostly basing my thought on Peridot's line that all Pearls did on Homeworld was stand around looking nice.

She definitely is, just never to Steven unless he's severely trying her patience. I can easily picture her saying it to literally anyone else in that situation.
But he already has a goat son!
You cannot comprehend the true form of Onion's song.
It's not like sticking around for the sequel is very wise for the vast majority of Disney movies.
Further food for thought:
Possible, though if Homeworld's caste system is as rigid as it's implied to be, giving a Pearl even that much responsibility seems like a breach of societal norms. The boss's assistant is the secret backbone of the company, in my experience.
Onion threw an entire dealership's worth of cars at them and they still let him hang out with Steven.
I cheered out loud in my living room when Peridot dropped the Clod Bomb on Yellow Diamond. Fantastic episode from start to finish, and a great way to pay off her character arc.
Her angry face makes her look like jaundiced Space Dandy.
If Disney has taught us anything, it's that the villains always get the best songs.
My personal (and Pink Diamond friendly) theory is that it's because Earth is where she lost Pink Diamond. The Four Diamond insignia implies unity among the Diamonds, so if we assume that they're all respected colleagues if not friends, having one of your peers turn her back on you has to hurt a creature as prideful…
A very important distinction. All Peridot had to do was hitch a ride back home and everything would be forgiven. And she didn't go through with it.
Perfection.
I'm actually surprised YD's Pearl was given as much responsibility as she was. From everything we've seen and heard before, Pearls are just living home decor on Homeworld. Being the secretary of the Homeworld's own Pointy Haired Boss seems like a huge step up.
Take this clod and shove it.
I've also seen the theory posited that the Bismuth crystal was Rose's failed attempt to create a new Gem to avoid dying while giving birth to Steven, since hoppered crystals like that are a result of a crystal forming with insufficient time or materials to create the standard shape. Instead of just leaving the Gems…
I actually haven't (it's on the list, I swear!) I was thinking a lot about Vegeta during my comment, who really only teamed up with the heroes because he hated his old boss even more than he hated the Earthlings and never really shook that old proud warrior race arrogance. You didn't spoil me on Zuko turning face…
The four Diamond symbol actually returned in this episode, and both here and in "Sworn to the Sword" it looks very pink, not deep red. My pet theory to explain it is that "Diamond" is a title, like Caeser.
Blue Diamond's copy of Galaga. There's no way you can oversee a 1000 year war against your own kind without having some me time.
