I'm a bit sad to see Sadie's scar has healed. If I were her, I would want to keep physical proof that I had killed a Predator with a wooden spear for as long as humanly possible.

Good call on the courtly love examination. This episode was a good examination of the Knight and Lady dynamic as well.

I got a ritualistic combat vibe from the arena as well. I'd be interested to see how it evolved from a relatively contained conflict to a full-blown rebellion.

That was a fun story. The comics aren't on the level of AT's comic adaptation, but they're nice little short stories nonetheless. Connie seems to get a lot of screen time relative to the show too.

Mary Elizabeth McGlynn (Dr. Mahaeshwaren) is also an accomplished singer. Best timeline: mother/daughter duet.

Jermaine has the Buster Sword. Or had, as it were.

There's an Edge of Tomorrow joke in there somewhere.

Welcome aboard. Sorry to hear AT isn't to your taste anymore, but SU is a great show to scratch that particular itch.

That kind of rhetoric is fairly common amongst actual drill sergeants as well, since breaking down a recruit's ego is a key component in building them back up as a member of a cohesive whole. As other people have pointed out, that idea delves into both Pearl and Connie's lack of self-worth, allowing it to go from

I'm pretty sure this episode took me 50% longer to watch than normal because I kept rewinding to watch standout moments again and again.

I've been excited for this episode since it was announced, and my God does it deliver. My two favorite characters interacting with one another? Check. Spectacular action sequence? Check. Not one, but two incredible songs? Check and double check. All that and a new title sequence? Truly an embarrassment of

Look at this guy, he's never seen the Kill Your Family show before.

Let us not forget in "Orgalorg", when Gunter saw the anguish Orgalorg was inflicting on that distant planet, he smashed the wooden carvings to break the spell. I would like some further clarification on Gunter and Orgalorg being separate entities, since as I understand it Gunter is just Orgalorg squashed down into a

The comics pretty quickly diverged from the show, so they're really an alternate continuity now. It's more of an "if you want to see a possibility, check out this storyline" than them pushing off critical storylines to another medium.

I don't really watch UG, but I am keeping an eye out for the wrestling episode, since it apparently involves Ric Flair eating Pizza Steve. That sounds like something I can't miss.

Much appreciated. I really enjoy discussing things here. I learn a lot from the reviews and the other commenters as well (I completely missed PB being Phlannel Boxingday, for instance).

I found Christian Slater, horror from beyond time and space, to be rather amusing actually.

If they are related the connection is very tenuous. The Lich has never shown an affinity for slime, and Finn's only relation to ice is beating up the Ice King every now and then.

I'm hoping the Marcy miniseries explores the time period between when she had to leave Simon and when she was turned. Especially if Pendelton Ward wasn't just being flippant when he said she became the Vampire Queen by killing the Vampire King.

The title card for "King Worm" is bonkers.
