Thanks for filling in for Oliver, David. I really enjoyed your commentary on this episode (specifically IK mouthing the episode's title, that would have driven me crazy if I hadn't known that).

I recall seeing speculation somewhere that it might be harder for SU to bring back some of its guest stars, specifically the musicians. Unless they are properly unionized as voice actors, they might not be able to make repeat appearances. Just the downside of going with voices off the beaten path.
I thought of option 1 myself. I recall from "Something Big" that Darren had the ability to erase anyone he killed from all realities and alternate dimensions. If Golb is cut from the same cloth - or is in fact the cloth from which Darren was created - he would logically share that same power.
"Box Prince" was definitely set up as a subversion of the show's typical formula of finding adventures hidden among a new corner of the weird world of Ooo. The entire episode was about waiting to see the resolution of this imagined narrative, only to have it end in a burst of classic Somvilay anti-humor. I certainly…
He's the house guest I'm always happy to see when he's visiting someone else.
They'll have to try harder than that to be more inessential than "Box Prince", but agreed on it being very light on rewatch value.

I believe he also soloed Cinderblock near the end of season 1, when it usually takes the entire team to bring him down. I can excuse that since he was hopped up on Slade-hate at the time.
Gunter would clean up as Feathers McGraw.
I believe the water slide attendant and the park manager were voiced by David Ferguson himself, if that helps to explain their extended role. I actually liked his voice; we haven't seen many accented characters in AT that I can recall, so it made the character rather unique.
I loved the glitch episode and felt this was the weakest of the three, so you're correct in saying they can be divisive. I can see why many would not like "A Glitch is a Glitch", but none of those issues really bothered me. "Food Chain" will always be awesome though.
Agreed with your analysis of "Yearbook Madness", that was Robin at his manic best. In the old series, a lot of the time it seemed like Robin was easily the most capable Titan, despite a lack of powers. I like there being a place for good old fisticuffs in a superhero show, but at times it did come at the cost of…
The guest animator episodes tend to go for character dynamics of the earlier seasons, but this one missed the mark. I admit that seeing Finn and Jake as the focus of the episode, as well as some creative uses of Jake's stretchy powers, was a welcome treat, but something about the proceedings seemed off. I loved the…
They went rather easy on him compared to how they would usually deal with him in the early seasons. Back before they knew more about him they would just throw him a beating and call it a day. Here they pranked him into getting himself banned from the park, and even then only after they overheard him plotting to…
Finn elected to date the fire rather than carry it.
"He was a weenus, so I wrote that down as my own personal joke!"
Argh, now I am the fool. I think that's the episode that introduced the phrase "Wizards only, fools", which is probably what confused me.
I've taken to the theory that the crown causes its host to refer to the nearest creature of appropriate size as Gunter. This particular Gunter just happened to give birth to a magic psychic cat and have the king of the Nightosphere appraise her as the most evil creature in all of Ooo.
Speaking of "Evergreen", it's probably no coincidence that this new Gunther is once again the unwitting instigator of mass destruction.
It could also be setup for the season endgame. Episode names like "Hot Diggity Doom" and "The Comet" tie into both Martin and the Lich.
