“Eat my photons, small-heads!”
That was a hell of a thing.
Main St, USA is being remodeled after eighties Times Square.
Luke’s family is poor. Obi Wan still has his rusting Jedi gear.
Sounds like he wants his future roles to be a bit more low key.
Does anybody want a peanut?
And if they do insist on leveraging an existing one, why not try one that hasn’t been done to death? I immediately thought of Trelane, but that would probably just end up as a sad Q ripoff at a time that we’re waiting to find out if Q is going to be a sad Q ripoff.
I know what most Trekkies think of the Kelvin movies. I personally felt the first one was a bloated origin tale and the second one a big mess of disasterporn built around Cumberbatch as not-Khan. But Simon Pegg and Doug Jung righted the ship again with Beyond, which didn’t have any lofty ambitions besides just being…
I have no doubt that Chase had a miserable childhood. That’s been fairly well established. But dude seriously trots this out every time someone wants to talk about his also well-established pattern of being an unmitigated asshole. Dude, you’re 78 years old and rich and famous. Get yourself some therapy. At this point,…
I really hate this fat suit argument. Being heavy is not an immutable characteristic. Punishing a thin actor by not letting them play somebody who either genetically or otherwise happens to be heavy is ridiculous and has nothing to do with acting. I guess we should force Zellweger to treat her body like Christian Bale…
I was 10 when his morning show was on the air, and I’d watch it at my grandmother’s house while my parents were at work. I don’t remember much about it, or anything about my grandmother’s reaction to it, but I DO remember Dave getting a ladder to fix one of the lights above the studio floor near the end of one…

Rich Hall was definitely another guy who, like Letterman, cared first and foremost about entertaining himself.
This is a bold and courageous move, I wish other artists had the same conviction.
Most real Yankee fans never really liked A-Rod anyways, so we’re on the same page there.
I’m a fan of Rescuers Down Under, myself. Like you said the pacing of the first one is kind of slow, the sequel moves a bit better.
I know it’s hard for the Free Britney crowd to see any nuance here, but it can be true that Britney’s conservatorship was morally and ethically wrong AND also be true that Britney is mentally ill and needs help. I think we’re all going to be made uncomfortable by this dysfunction several times in the next year or so.
This whole thing was already stupid and kind of ugly, but now Elden is making insinuations about the sexual tendencies of a man who’s dead and can’t defend himself, on the (incredibly shaky) basis of a private diary entry and it’s just gone in a whole new direction of sleazy. Fuck this guy.
It pretty clearly seems to being suggesting the exact opposite of what they claim it does.
that journal entry is really hard to fit into that narrative.
