For example, while going through an enemy base I could drop a sniper with one bullet and exchange it with a fresh, fully-stocked sniper—leaving the other team with my garbage.

You’re right, but I don’t think you’re looking at it the right way either. The movie wasn’t supposed to show anything between Yondu and Peter.
This article literally goes into some detail of this situation, including her response.
People are allowed to have opinions, yes.
People are allowed to have opinions.
Everyone is allowed to have opinions, but they are not free of the consequences of sharing those opinions, including lost business opportunities.
You do when you’re a private company. Most ToS has a section dedicated to their ability to remove content they deem not suitable for their platform. Standard stuff.
Sure you can, if they’re using your platform. Clearly Epic is working with this kid so they can choose to terminate the relationship at any point if they choose to.
The button controls, unfortunately, recreated the same frustration that the old-school waggle did.
As others have stated, this article headline is inaccurate/misleading. There are still bird statues all over the game that serve the same function as the amiibo.
Don’t worry, fast travel is still in the game and you don’t even need this feature for it to be comfy. There’s an insane amount of statues that let you move around.
I can count the number of times I’ve used amiibo for gameplay benefits on one hand. Costumes or gtfo.

Im struggling to think how much benefit that amiibo really is. I think i lost my shield once in the og game but otherwise i didnt feel the need to bounce up and down mid quest. There just wasnt much to do in the sky
Why do you guys keep misreporting this? It was pointed out when this was announced that you can always fast travel with bird statues. The amiibo just makes it instant, which is nice but not game-breaking. And from a review I read yesterday:
Nintendo doesn’t care at all about the money. They just wanted to make it clear that if you try and make money off old nintendo games, in any way, they will crush you.
I’m pretty sure Kevin Feige had a Vision.
I hope that one of these days Marvel will take these reviews to heart and finally make the quiet, contemplative film everyone is supposed to be asking for but does not want to see
