You ARE a woman in the Very Deep South. In my experience, you need to call your HUSBAND first or nobody will talk to you except the Sheriff, who will refer you to his cousin’s BBQ shack, something something chainsaw.

I get Mayim Bialik was in a hugely successful sitcom so people recognize her but she’s not a good fit at all. If they want to use her to host the special episodes like the kids edition or the prime time specials that’s cool but this splitting the hosting duty with Ken Jennings is awful.

I believe he carved that when he got locked out while throwing out garbage a couple season ago.

Aside from Bialik’s other shortcomings, she just feels all wrong for Jeopardy. Her disposition is that of a too-happy morning show host and it really doesn’t seem like she knows the answers half the time? Alex always was about to tell you right away whether they got it right or not but there’s always this hesitation

The head of mall security isn’t as depressed as Gene because he gets to go home to Christie Brinkley.

Neat. I’ll continue not watching Jeopardy! with anti-vaxxer, brain pill shiller, victim blamer, Mayim Bialik.

Justice for...Heather; the lifeguard who works alongside Billy at the pool.”

Hey guys, our click-baity articles won’t make us as much sweet sweet as revenue unless we can “demonstrate engagement”.

If only you consulted this helpful article about grand juries.

good grief, Lindsey.....

“A grand jury is made up of regular people—between 16 and 23 of them—who listen to the prosecution and the defense, look at evidence, and then determine if someone on trial is guilty or innocent of the crimes they’re charged with.”

In addition to Grand Jury definition errors, Standard of Proof is not relevant to bringing charges against a defendant. It is relevant to proving a case. In other words, it is not relevant to starting an action, it is relevant to ending an action.

And if she can’t get Grand Jury correct, how much faith do we have in her other definitions?

While we’re at it, its important to note that there is a significant difference between “lawyer and attorney”.

Sorry Lindsey, but your definition for Grand Jury is incorrect.  A grand jury does not determine guilt or innocence, but rather if there is probable cause.  What you have described is a Trial or Petit Jury.  This link gives a nice overview of the differences:  https://www.banksjones.com/2020/08/26/whats-the-difference-

Agreed. Was a bit surprised here. A grand jury determines if there is sufficient evidence to go forward with a trial. What the author describes is a normal jury.

That’s not what a grand jury is......

Might take another quick peek at Grand Jury . . .

Although Morissette has stayed mum on the song’s inspiration (and the lyrics don’t name any names), the release timeline also lines up—Coulier and Morissette split just a year before Jagged Little Pill was released.

When Dave first heard the song, he was probably thinking at that moment that life has a funny way of sneaking up on you. When you think everything’s okay and a everything’s going going right. And life has funny way of helping you out. When you think everything’s gone wrong. And everything blows up in your face.
