Depth of field also has all the players in focus. That’s rare in real life but common in video games.

I’d say radio waves and light waves are just different names for the EM spectrum, and that “light” waves are just the ones we can see. But, effectively, “light” waves and “radio” waves kind of mean the same thing... to a being with eyes adapted for different frequencies, “light” waves would be in a different part of

Why cover the team logo on a Polo Shirt? Couldn’t they just wear another shirt? Change into a t-shirt or something?

Up until the last century, “Night Soil Collector” was a real job. Someone did that for a living. Every day, getting up, walking the slums and going up to poor people in their hovels and ask if it wouldn’t be too much trouble if they’d let you put their shit in a bucket and haul it away. And then you’d try and sell it

The car did exactly the right thing.

Back in the olden days, computer programs used to come with instructions.

Looks like Key from Key & Peele in drag

He didn’t even legitimately go around the last cone. He saw he was behind, stepped over it, and still lost after cheating. Terrible.

Yep.

IIRC, this is kind of how the trucker weigh stations work, right? They put a ton of them on the highways, but can’t open them all because that would just slow down commerce, and they can’t just open one or two because truckers would get on the CB’s and alert any friends with heavy loads as to where the stations are

I always wondered why short infomercial-type commercials use random numbers in their URLs. Recently I saw some one- or two-minute ad with Ron Paul where viewers were directed to RonPaulMessage10.com, and then later, RonPaulMessage15.com, or something like that. What’s the point? Why put out different versions and

How does Deadspin post this without a review of Diamond Dallas Page’s yoga series?

CSI. Jesus... think about this: the spinoff CSI: Miami was on for 10 years and 232 episodes... and it didn’t outlast the original series. CSI: NY was on “only” 9 years and 197 episodes. 10 years for a spinoff!!! I can’t remember any spinoff airing longer yet still failing to outlive the parent series.

Damn, ghosted hard

“Behind Closed Ovens”

Yep, tried it in Vegas once. Sandwiched a 20 between my CC and ID when checking in and asked if any ‘complimentary upgrades’ were available. The clerk searched but didn’t have anything nicer available that she was able to swing, and returned my 20.

I heard it in a radio interview with a doctor that does the procedure. A little digging online turned up this:

There’s one more downside that should be noted. From what I’ve heard, the affected area loses the ability to store fat PERMANENTLY. So, if you lose the fat, and then go gain it back, fat will be stored in secondary places on the body.

Late night is great. After the catering meal, but when the crew still has four more hours of work to do, crafty will bring out the big guns. Real food, not just snacks.

It’s true. The easy way to earn $300 in LA is wait until the filming crew in your neighborhood starts shooting, then decide it’s time to play your stereo loud with your windows open. They’ll send a harried location manager to shut you up, he’ll start by explaining “they have permits”, but once you counter “you may
