Sure, but what does that have to do with Michaels? They sell construction paper and glitter, not perfumes.

Pretty much. Allergies and such, my sense of smell is pretty poor.
Sure there are. I know several. None of them are 70 year old fatass amateurs with known reputations for rampant cheating.
Sure did. Didn’t see anything where he claimed to be an NBA level talent or where anyone claimed he was an on court god. There’s a couple of times where they said he hit a game winner in a pickup game. BFD.
Counterpoint: nah.
You better not be talking shit on Michaels. It’s cheap, unpretentious, always has coupons for 87% off, and you only ever go there when you’re specifically looking for a cheap picture frame or some glitter, never to “browse”. If anything it’s one of the best stores.
The difference is that Obama never claimed to be Steph Curry. He’s missing, he knows he’s missing, he’s just having fun goofing around. Had no video existed I don’t think anyone there would claim that he was an NBA level talent.
And if your aunt had balls she’d be your uncle.
73 is the number. It’s annoying how it was set and how it will probably never be broken, but that’s the number. In a way that’s kind of fitting that baseball is now saddled with a permanent reminder of how they looked the other way on steroids in order to win fans and increase ratings.
Wentz.
Their laughing all the way to the bank. Each philly fan pictured represents hundreds of dollars in the owners pockets. They’re (supposedly) making more money this year than they did back in San Diego.
Pretty sure the headline and the picture answer that question. They are more expensive because fans of other teams are willing to pay the price to see their team in person. From the owners point of view they don’t give shit if their money comes from Eagles fans or Charger fans (which is smart, since it wouldn’t come…
It is a bit of an assumption, but I think it’s fair based on evidence from other teams that have expanded or moved. Give it enough time (thinking in terms of decades or even generations), mix in some random cyclical successes on the field, and a fan base will usually emerge.
Perhaps “paying customers” was a better choice of words.
But they are selling those thing. Parking at Stubhub supposedly costs $100, and people are paying. They have sold 25+K seats per game at the highest average ticket price in the entire league. Most of the season tickets were scooped up by brokers and businesses. The team doesn’t care, the money is just as good from…
It was 95% full at the highest ticket prices in the league. And I guarantee 99% of the tickets were sold. They are actually making more money this season than last because the ticket prices are so much higher.
They have sold out every seat in the stadium at the highest average ticket price in the entire NFL. That’s all they care about. Every seat, empty or not at game time, puts hundreds of dollars into Dean Spanos’s pocket.
It looks bad now, but Spanos is taking the long, long view. As much as I hate to admit it, he’s probably not wrong. In 20 years no one will remember this. The Chargers will have had decades to organically build a fan base in LA and will get to share a state of the art stadium they didn’t have to pay for. That alone…
Eh, maybe. The thing is that LA has a ton of fans of pretty much every team (except, ironically, the chargers) who can easily go to the game and are willing to shell out for the once in 2 or 4 or 8 year event that is their team coming to town. I’m sure some people will make a weekend out going to Vegas to see their…
Which is kind of like saying that the Cowboys play in Irving and not Dallas. Carson isn’t some far off ghost town in the sticks, its in the middle of a huge metro area.
