There’s probably some truth to that. Tickets at Stubhub have the highest average price of any stadium, and there’s enough transplant fans of other teams to pay through the nose for the the occasional visit by their team. Especially when NFC teams will only visit once every 8 years.
But they have been selling out their stadium. Just typically to fans of the other teams.
But they are filling the stadium. Just with other people’s fans.
No, the Chargers aren’t going anywhere. They’ll get to live in a brand new stadium, rent free, and make a living on TV rights and the shear size and economic power of LA
But there were people there. They were all Eagles fans.
They’re might be some, but if they exist they are smart enough to not drive to fucking Carson to pay top dollar to watch this team shit the bed every week.
My question is, why did he buy his kids all those Eagles jerseys?
Oh please. There’s plenty of footage of other NFL QBs doing the same thing. Maybe if the rest of the Chargers were as passionate as Rivers they wouldn’t have gotten run the fuck over by Blount today.
Well it pissed off Donald Trump, which is always a good accomplishment.
But is it? Or is that particular spotlight only held by right wing media who are trying to turn this into something its not?
It is one of our natural talents.
That’s the spirit. If history has taught us one lesson, it’s “things never change so don’t bother even talking about them, just eat your shit sandwich”.
The Marcus Allen question is actually kind of tricky, because he played for multiple teams, and because you would have to remember that the Raiders were in LA at the time so if you had said “Oakland Raiders” you would have been incorrect. I’m assuming they would allow the Chiefs as an answer.
We don’t “foist” it on anybody. The IOC, a non-American agency, sells them to whatever poor city is willing to shell out the most.
I think you mean I-Wood.
I seriously doubt it. Downtown, Carson or Inglewood, both of these teams are going to call themselves “Los Angeles” whatever their technical location.
Isn’t knowing how well they fit into their current system a part of projecting how well they’ll play at the next level?
They sure do. Stubhub is an MLS soccer arena. The Chargers will be playing there until they can move into the Rams new stadium in 3 years and crash on the couch. That’s how desperate they were to “fight for LA”. They left 3 years early to play in a stadium so small it would embarrass most FBS teams.
Well the Rams certainly won’t be moving. Kronke is building his own giant stadium/development and needs the Rams there as an excuse to build it. Their attendance is almost incidental.
