Exactly. The issue is lack of competition. I had *competing* cable companies in the Bethlehem, PA area back in the 90s. No broadcasting stations so we had multiple companies with lines run all over.

Is bitching about movie length a new thing? Looking back to the 1990s and early aughts, there were tons of films with long runtimes, but I don’t remember anyone making a big deal about it. Off the top of my head, I’d say Braveheart, Schindler’s List, Malcolm X, Titanic, all three LOTR movies, Saving Private Ryan and…

...but if it was an HBO show, like Peacemaker, it would have a 3 episode kick off with the same run time and we would be expecting more. Strange issue to have.

The hate is strong in this comment thread. The lowest Marvel has hit with their MCU is decent. Most of the movies and Disney shows have been excellent. I’ll say this has a good chance of being highly watchable.
