The same process generally was used to allow you to post the comment on this site. 40 years ago, you’d have had to phone in to the call the editor of your newspaper (which is possibly defunct now, or no longer has a ‘call the editor’ column), leave a message, someone would take that message and type it out, give it to…
The original scrawl for the original Star Wars had at least one guy manually cranking the text over top of the overhead projector while another guy filmed it, and one guy created the starfield and another guy composited it using special equipment.
I’m sort of confused about the API fee they’re trying to implement. Are there commercial products who are going to pay the astronomical fee? if not, this isn’t making them any real money, unless it’s simply a ploy to destroy all third party tools, then, mission accomplished I guess.
That was my first reaction, too. Unless the eliminate the upfront scalping by the ticket companies, the junk fee thing is worthless.
I don’t understand getting hyped from a game off a purely CGI trailer with zero gameplay or engine footage. It’s like saying ‘this release of SWTOR will be awesome due to the video they put out’. The video has nothing at all to do with the story or gameplay, but yeah, it was some great animation of a fight.
Again, i’d like to hear what exactly TikTok has on people that makes it such a threat. To this point, they’ve given nothing to us saying what they can do with this data they could not do with legally obtained data they could just buy from people like facebook, google, and all those other data brokers out there.
The Arrowverse went down with Arrow. When it was around, the ran rings around the DCUE. After they ended that, at best, they were on even footing. Nexstar just finished off the Arrowverse, but it didn’t start it’s ending. Ending Arrow did.
I’d much rather it be a surprise. I do not like this new era of doing shows (not Dr who, but everything in general) where they feel they need a news cycle or two of free publicity by telling you who’s showing up during a season, etc.
No way in hell we are alone....
Funny enough, that’s probably it. Ezra Miller is, shall we say, far from popular after the last couple years, plus more people recognize Grant as the flash from the TV show, so that’s probably exactly why.
I get pushing the envelope, but aside from being able to say ‘we did it first’, why?
Exclusive? Jerks....
Honestly, they need to stop announcing stuff a year before we’re going to see it. The only reason there’s a giant gap between the last episode and the next one is solely on the BBC. I get it you want to keep it in the headlines, but maybe keep in on the schedule to do that.
Jokes even more on them then since Win95 couldn’t support anything over 4GB :) (and not really even 4gb). :)
The testing team was laid off to help hit that 3B in savings mark :)
Meh, it’s all due to people (actually studio’s) thinking they simply ‘have to have’ a universe.
Umm, no. <Insert company here> will still pay facebook a ton of cash to place ads on their application/site. facebook just won’t be able to charge a little extra to make those ads targeted. @#$^ targeted ads. They have no right to track people. Period. End of story. Our idiot government officials are too busy lining…
‘stupid petty’ - i think that sums up the texas legislature pretty aptly. Same group is trying to force banks and investors and other companies to do business with oil companies as well.
Was just too expensive. Never heard anyone say anything bad about the experience, just that it was too expensive. I would liked to have tried it, but not at that price. Don’t imagine theming it with the ST timeline helped too much either.
